Epson specialty papers are comprised of four to eight layers per sheet. These layers work together to absorb ink, lock in vibrant colors and give you instant-dry, superior-quality prints. See the difference between Epson premium glossy paper and generic plain paper.
In Windows 10, select the printer on the list, click the Manage button, and then click the Printer properties option on the left side of the printer settings window. Click the Ports tab in the Printer Properties window. The IP address of the printer may show in the port listing.
You can choose which settings to reset or reset them all.
- Press the up or down arrow, select Setup, and press the OK button.
- Press the up or down arrow buttons, select Restore Default Settings, and press the OK button.
- Press the up or down arrow buttons to select one of these options and press the OK button.
Double-sided printing is only available if you have loaded plain paper or other supported paper in these sizes: Letter (8.5 x 11 inches [216 x 279 mm]), Legal (8 1/2 x 14 in.) and A4 (8.3 x 11.7 inches [210 x 297 mm]). Note: Double-sided printing is not supported for printing on glossy, thick, and certain matte papers.
Access the print settings in your print application. Select Print Settings from the pop-up menu. Select Plain Paper/Bright White Paper or Envelope as the paper type setting. Select the Grayscale option.
Several factors may cause the product to print blank pages, such as print settings, low ink, or the product itself. Print a nozzle check pattern to see if any of the nozzles are clogged. Clean the print head, if necessary. Make sure the paper size, orientation, and layout settings in your printer software are correct.
The ink cartridges may not have been installed using the correct procedure, or they may not be seated correctly. If the ink not recognized message is not on the screen, press the home button, if necessary, and select Setup > Maintenance > Ink Cartridge Replacement. Press the OK button and then the start button.

Open the ink tank unit cover, then remove the ink tank cap and place it in the holder shown here. Note: Make sure the color of the ink tank label matches the ink color you want to refill, and only remove the cap from that ink tank. Be careful not to spill any ink. Unscrew the cap on the bottle and remove it.

Please replace any non-Epson cartridges with Genuine Epson cartridges.
- Turn on your product.
- Select Next > OK.
- Lift the scanner unit until the support clicks into place.
- Remove all of the ink cartridges.
- After you've removed all of the ink cartridges, reinsert them one by one.
Overall the EcoTank ET-2720 is a very good printer with excellent print quality, and ink that costs significantly less than its cartridge based competition. If you tend to use the printer often, it's offers an excellent potential for savings.

Epson ReadyPrint is a subscription-based printing service that lets you print an unlimited number of pages for a low monthly cost. When you sign up, Epson will ship you a printer and ink. You can print whatever you want and when your ink is low, Epson automatically sends you new ink.
Troubleshooting methods
- Turn off your Epson printer and disconnect the interface cable between the computer and printer.
- Now check the availability of paper in the printer.
- After some time reconnect all the interface as well as USB cables and hold down the power button to turn on your printer.
Press the up or down arrow button to select Setup > Maintenance > Reset Ink Levels. Press one of the Start buttons, then press the OK button. Press the OK button again. Press the right or left arrow button to highlight the ink tank you refilled, and press the OK button to select it.
To Factory Reset an Epson printer:Turn off the printer. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the printer (normally located to the right of the ethernet port). Turn on the printer while holding the reset button. Wait until a message prints indicating that the printer is resetting.
This error occurs due to the chip on your cartridge still reporting a low or empty ink level from it's previous use. The chip itself cannot be reset, so when the cartridge is refilled and then installed into a new machine it will still register as empty.
Refill Your Printer Cartridge
- Step 1: What You Need. Printer-ink. You can buy it from a computer store.
- Step 2: The Cartridge. There is a black spot on the white-sticker covering the top-cover of the cartridge.
- Step 3: Refill Your Printer Cartridge. Draw ink into the syringe slowly and inject it into the hole.
