ExtraCare Bucks are dollar-off coupons that can be used toward prescriptions at CVS Pharmacies inside Target (and everyday purchases at CVS retail locations).
ExtraBucks Rewards are essentially cash.This means that you can use as many of these as you would like in any given transaction. It also means the number of ECBs MAY exceed the number of items purchased. Example: If you purchase 5 items and have 5 coupons and 3 ECB, you can use ALL 5 coupons and ECB on your purchase.
Your ExtraBucks® Rewards will print on your receipt or at the ExtraCare® Coupon Center two days following qualifying purchase(s). You can only use one manufacturer coupon per item, but CVS allows multiple store coupons per transaction as long as none explicitly state otherwise, even more than one of the same type of CVS coupons, including: Two $3 off $15 coupons for purchases that are $30 or higher.
Expired coupons cannot be reissued. ExtraBucks Rewards earned from buying specific items in the weekly ad cannot be reissued. They must be used before the expiration date and can only be used in store.

Yes. Joining the CVS ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards program is the only way to earn rewards for your prescription purchases. Ask a CVS Pharmacy® team member for details. At least one prescription must be filled at a CVS Pharmacy at Target location for you to redeem your reward for the $5 Target coupon.
At CVS, you only need to hit 98% of the spend price to get an Extra Bucks to print which is called the 98% Rule at CVS. As you can see in the picture above created by the Krazy Coupon Lady, if a deal requires you to spend $20, you really only need to spend $19.60 and your Extra Bucks will print.
Once you are an ExtraCare Rewards member, you can get CVS coupons. You may also commonly hear couponers refer to these Red Coupon Machine printed CVS coupons as “CRTs”. CRT stands for Cash Register Tape and refers to coupons that print at the bottom of your receipt (Side Fact: Receipt is known as “Register Tape”).
