To get started enter “about:flags” into the Address Bar and hit Enter. Scroll down until you see the listing for Compact Navigation. Enable it and let the browser restart to gain access to the feature. Once the browser has restarted right click on one of the tabs and select Hide the toolbar from the Context Menu.
How to Show Chrome's Bookmarks Bar
- Open Chrome.
- Click or tap the main menu button, represented by three dots located in the upper right corner of the browser window.
- Locate the Appearance section, which contains an option labeled Always show the bookmarks bar accompanied by a checkbox.
If your bookmarks have disappeared from the Chrome screen, the bookmark bar has become hidden. Hit "Ctrl" plus "Shift" plus "B" to bring it back. The same option is available via the Bookmarks sub-menu on the Settings menu.
Delete a bookmark folder
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More .
- Click Bookmarks. Bookmark Manager.
- Point to the bookmark you want to edit.
- To the right of the bookmark, click the More. , to the far right of the bookmark.
- Click Delete. This will permanently delete all the bookmarks in that folder.
By default, when you sign in to Chrome, all your Chrome data will be synced to your Google Account. This includes bookmarks, history, passwords, and other information. If you don't want to sync everything, you can also select what types of Chrome data to sync.
Google Chrome - How to use the Bookmarks bar
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- Once your Chrome browser has opened navigate to the top right, click More .
- Select Bookmarks Show Bookmarks Bar.
If you just deleted a bookmark or bookmark folder, you can just hit Ctrl+Z in the Library window or Bookmarks sidebar to bring it back. In the Library window, you can also find the Undo command on the “Organize” menu.
To access your Favorites hover over the user icon in the top right hand corner and select “Favorites" from the drop-down menu. To re-arrange your Favorites simply hold and drag a Favorite with your mouse to drop it in the preferred position.
In Chrome, go to Settings > Advanced sync settings (under the Sign in section) and change the sync settings so that Bookmarks aren't synced, if they currently are set to sync. Close Chrome. Then rename the "Bookmarks. bak" file to "Bookmarks"

Go to your browser, click on the three dots on the top right and click bookmarks, and then you can organize them by dragging them on your phone.
To create a folder:
- Click the folder where you want to add a new folder. In this example, we'll create a folder to help organize some recipes in the Other bookmarks folder.
- Click Organize, then select Add folder from the drop-down menu.
- The new folder will appear.
- The new folder will be created.
How to manage bookmarks in Chrome
- Step 1: Click the hamburger (three lines) menu in the top right-hand corner and choose Bookmarks > Bookmark manager.
- Tip: You can bookmark the bookmark manager to your bookmarks bar (in Chrome).
- Step 2: Select a folder on the left-hand side, and then click the organize menu at the top.
Tap on the 'Star' button present in the top-right of the screen beside the URL bar. Tap on 'Bookmarks' and all your saved bookmarks will be displayed.
