If your TV image is pixelated, or broken up, the first thing to do is check all your connections. Loose connections are often the cause. Unplug and reconnect the coaxial connections between your Set-Top Box and your TV and your wall connection. When you plug them back in, make sure all connections are secure.
A faulty amplifier is a very common cause of poor TV reception. The signal goes in fine and comes out awful. It's a simple fix usually – replace the amplifier. Another common reason that cause this is the constant disconnecting and connected of cables such as in wall plates which can break and ruin the TV signal.
Wrap your TV antenna in tin foil. Wrapping aluminum foil around your antenna will basically increase the surface area and conductivity of the antenna to boost the signal that your TV receives from it.
It is unlikely wifi is interfering with tv signals unless your tv antenna is right beside the wifi transmitter. However, that tv transmitter that is 1.9 miles from your house could be overpowering weaker tv signals coming from further away.
No worries, we'll tell a few smart ways how to get better 4G signal.
- Improve 4G signal - set up your mobile phone.
- Increase 4G signal reception - use a network optimizing app.
- Boost 4G signal - install a mobile repeater.
Poor signal strength could be your carrier's fault, or it could be because of signal-blocking materials in your home's walls. Whatever the cause, you can boost that signal and get the maximum number of bars at home. Or, better yet, just use Wi-Fi calling on a modern phone.
Yes, our cell phone signal boosters work. As long as there's some signal outside, they can multiply that signal up to 32 times to provide strong cellular reception inside homes, offices, and vehicles.
A booster helps you boost satellite signals so it has the extra power it needs to arrive at your television with the same level of quality that you would see if you connected to the signal right at your satellite dish.
If you do not get all of your channels, the problem lies with the antenna or cable. Connect the TV to a different cable connection, and then repeat the Auto Program procedure. If you get all of your channels, the problem lies with the cable.
There are many reasons why your TV reception can vary: Your home is located in a valley, and the terrain is blocking your reception. You're using an indoor antenna and the signal is unable to transmit through the building materials. Your antenna isn't pointing toward the digital transmitting towers.
Quality Is More Important Than Strength! It really does depend on the TV manufacturer, but you should always expect your TV signal to be 100% or a full signal bar. This usually means that at that time the received signal after error correction is fine and working as expected.
If your
Signal Strength is below 50%, then you might start seeing issues with your picture.
You can check your signal quality in the settings menu.
- Bring up the menu with your remote.
- Select Settings*
- Go to the Signal & Connection area and select Signal Quality.

This will keep your recordings but you do need an internet connection for it to work.
