To
check your device's
registration status, SMS your IMEI number to 8484. When you send your device's IMEI number, you will get one of the following notifications from
PTA.
You can find out your device's IMEI through the following:
- Device packaging (seen at the bottom of the box)
- Handset settings.
- By dialing *#06#
How to register:
- Via SMS by sending the IMEI number to 8484.
- Through PTA website.
- or via mobile app specially developed by PTA for DIRBS system.
Here's How to Register your Device Through DIRBS Online Portal:
- Click to open Device Registration Portal.
- Sign Up if you don't have an account.
- You need to Select the purpose and User Type(local Pakistani or Foreigner)
Method 1: Via SMS by sending the IMEI number to 8484
When you send the message to 8484 you will receive one of the following messages: IMEI is compliant Device IMEI is Valid. Insert SIM and make a call/SMS to anyone on or before 20/10/18 date for auto registration.As per the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), all SIM based devices, including mobile phones, tablets and other devices should be registered, otherwise, they will be disabled. Now you can register yourself without any internet access. Through USSD (SMS in short) by dialling *8484#.
There are three ways you can register your mobile device:
By dialing USSD Code *8484# from mobile. By visiting pta. By visiting Franchise/Customer Service Center (CSC) of any Mobile Operator i.e. Jazz, Ufone, Zing & Telenor across Pakistan.Users can register their device via SMS by sending the IMEI number to 8484. Device's IMEI number can be checked by dialling *#06# Moreover, registration can also be done via website or mobile application.
To obtain the 15 digital IMEI, dial *#06# from dial pad of device.

As per Government of Pakistan's Law, an international passenger can bring in 5 (five) mobile phones per year to Pakistan for personal use.
One phone per annum is allowed duty free and up to a maximum of 5 phones in a year can be brought in. The duty on remaining 4 will have to be paid if you require service in Pakistan beyond 30 days.” For people bringing in phones from abroad, as per personal baggage rules.
The regulatory duty on import of mobile phones valuing up to $30 will now be charged at a flat rate of Rs180 per set as against the earlier Rs250, while it will be charged at the rate of Rs18,500 on import of mobile phones valuing more than $500 per set.
How To Unblock Your Phone Blocked By PTA And How To Register Mobile With PTA and Pay Taxes
- Step 1: Signup. Go to PTA official website and get your phone registered, by clicking on the tab “Online Mobile Registration” after clicking this tab a new form will open.
- Step 2: Login and Submit.
- Step 3: Wait And Pay The Taxes.
To delete your account entirely:
- Go to My Account on the lower left of the blue menu bar on this page.
- You will need to sign in with your email address and password.
- Delete each student by clicking the red icon next to their name.
- Delete your spouse by clicking the red icon next to his/her name.
