To give your Gboard a background, like a photo or acolor:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app .
- Tap System Languages & input.
- Tap Virtual Keyboard Gboard.
- Tap Theme.
- Pick a theme. Then tap Apply.
Tap on the Get Started button to set up your newkeyboard. Go to Settings > General > Keyboards.Tap on the entry to Add New Keyboard.
Enable Keyboard Clicks
If the option is disabled, maximizing the device'svolume has no effect on the clicking sound. Open the Settings menuby tapping the Settings app and then tap Sounds to open the Soundsscreen. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and toggle theKeyboard Clicks button to the Onposition.When enabled, Display Zoom won't just make thekeyboard bigger, it'll increase the display size ofeverything on your iPhone, including icons. To enable it,head to your iPhone's "Settings" menu and tap "Display andBrightness." Under the "Display Zoom" header, select "View" andchoose the "Zoomed" option.
You can change the color of the messagebubbles from grey and blue (iMessage)/green (SMS) by navigatingto Settings > Messages Customiser > SMS Bubbles andSettings > Messages Customiser > iMessageBubbles.
Windows 7 or Windows Vista
- Click Start.
- On the Keyboards and Language tab, click Change keyboards.
- Click Add.
- Expand the language that you want.
- Expand Keyboard list, click to select the Canadian French checkbox, and then click OK.
- In the options, click View Layout to compare the layout withthe actual keyboard.
Update: with the release of iOS 8, Apple nowallows third-party keyboards in the App Store. It's astandalone app release with an interface dedicated solely tochanging the keyboard color.
This works the same to change the keyboard layout type iniOS for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch:
- Open Settings, then go to “General” followed by“Keyboards”
- Tap on “English” (or whatever your default keyboardlayout is)
- Choose the new keyboard layout: QWERTY is the default thatwe're all familiar with, AZERTY, or QWERTZ.
The iPhone does not support Swype as ofthe time of publication, but you can install keyboard appsthat use the swipe-to-type functionality. The iPhone iOSdoes not allow you to change the core keyboard on yourphone; you have to run the swipe keyboard as anapp.
Normally, the default iOS keyboardpresents you with the alphabet. When you want to accessthe numbers, you just tap the “123” key,and then the numbers and symbols will appear. Just like withthe “123” key trick, this will let you tap anddrag to enter a quick symbol and then revert to thenumbers.
In iOS, just hit the Return key to jumponto the next line within an iMessage. Hit the Return keytwice and you'll insert a line full line break, creatinga space between the text but keeping it within asingle message.
Flip that toggle to green if you'd like for your
iPhoneto automatically switch to
Dark Mode between sunrise andsunset.
Turn on Dark Mode through the Settings app
- Open the Settings app.
- Press Display & Brightness.
- At the top, you'll see two configurations for Light or Dark.Press Dark. You're in Dark Mode!
To turn on this feature, tap the Settingsicon on the Home screen. Tap General and then scroll downand tap Accessibility. In the Accessibility dialog, tapthe White on Black On/Off button to turn onthis feature. The colors on the screenreverse.
To change the keyboard backlight color:
- Press <FN> + < C> keys to cycle through theavailable backlight colors.
- White, Red, Green and Blue are active by default; up to twocustom colors can be added to the cycle in the System Setup(BIOS).
How to change Color Tint
- Launch Settings from your Home screen.
- Tap General.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Tap Display Accommodations.
- Tap Color Filters.
- Tap the switch next to Color Filters to turn them on.
- Tap Color Tint.
- Tap and drag the Hue slider at the bottom until the tint iswhat you need.
Change font color (iOS)
- Tap on the text you'd like to change the color of.
- Click the square color picker on the middle right side of thecontrols.
- Choose a color from the offered Default section. You can alsoadd a custom color by clicking the + button under the Usedsection.
- Changes will apply immediately on your design.
- Click Done to save.
To make text bold, select and highlightthe text first. Then hold down Ctrl (the control key) on thekeyboard and press B on the keyboard. To maketext italic, select and highlight the text first. Then hold downCtrl (the control key) on the keyboard and then press the Ion the keyboard.
The Dvorak + Colemak Keyboards app has bothkeyboard layouts and can be had from the App Store. Onceinstalled, open the Settings and tap “General”. Onceyou're in the Keyboards settings, tap on the“Keyboards” button. In the Keyboards settings, tap“Add New Keyboard…”.
The easiest way to download and install iOS 13 onyour iPhone or iPod Touch is to download over the air. On youriPhone or iPod Touch, head to Settings > General > SoftwareUpdate. Your device will check for updates, and a notificationabout iOS 13 should appear. Tap Download andInstall.
