So in a nutshell: it is a nice expansion and you can spend a lot of time playing it but the replayability value is so-so, plus it's prone to bugs. World adventures was my most favorite thing ever! The ability to produce wine was enough for me to get it. Personally I don't use the EA destinations much.

To travel to most lots, the fastest way is to jump to the city map by pressing the M key or clicking the map button near the top-right corner of the screen. The Sim you have currently active will be in the traveling party, but after selecting a lot, you can choose which friends or family you wish to travel with.
To take a vacation, open the cellphone of a Sim you want to send. On the Travel tab (the round button with a car icon), you can find the Take a Vacation… option. You can also select the Household… > Take a Vacation command on a computer that will do the same thing.
