Riku has always been stronger than Sora when it comes to his own strength. This much should be obvious based on the fact Riku has a strong physical build, as opposed to Sora's skin and bones. Even in Re:CoM, Riku has high jump by default because he's more athletic, while Sora has to acquire the skill by other means.
KH2 Sora seems to be objectively stronger than any other character. He's more mobile, faster, and still incredibly powerful in terms of sheer damage. Terra Aqua and Ventus have abilities, sure, but they can't sustain themselves in midair indefinitely with their combos like Sora can.
Sora and Roxas were not meant to coexist, AFAIK. But Kairi gave a new body for Sora, going against the rules.
The guidebook Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Ultimania clarified the connection, stating that Roxas and Ventus look alike because Ventus's heart entered Sora's body, and that Ventus's presence influenced Roxas's appearance when he was created.
Sora's Nobody and the thirteenth member of the previous Organization XIII. He was a Keyblade wielder and Axel's closest friend. After rejoining with Sora's heart, Roxas ceased to exist. Thanks to a replica that was able to contain his heart and memories, Roxas became real again and joined the guardians of light.
Kingdom Hearts IIISora, having failed his Mark of Mastery Exam, is still not a Keyblade Master but having eventually regained the Power of Waking and proving himself to be the stronger Keyblade wielder than Aqua and Master Xehanort, can be considered to have already be on the level of one, if not even superior.

Riku's body was never a Nobody, and his heart never gave into the Darkness so he had no Heartless. Riku's heart becomes a heartless enslaved by Ansem during your first fighting phase with him. (You know, the heartless guardian, which is plausible because Riku has a growing darkness in his heart throughout the game).
Roxas is the Nobody of main character Sora and the 13th member of Organization XIII. He is mentioned multiple times in the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailers, making it seem like he will play a role in the upcoming game.

Roxas is an anti-villain and a major character from the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
Vanitas in his suit. This similarity is due to Sora's heart connecting with Ventus after his heart was fractured, and had anyone else connected with Ventus's heart, Vanitas would have looked like that person.
According to Nomura himself, the whole reason Roxas, and by extension Sora, has the ability to dual wield Keyblades is because they were using Ventus' power in tandem with their own.
After all: his story began with losing Kairi, and now he's lost her again. Then in a shocking moment, we see Sora fade away, signifying that wherever Sora saved Kairi from, he did not make it back alive. So yes, Sora dies.
Roxas is all but confirmed to have his own heart now though. He was just "borrowing" Ven's heart, but it didn't have a whole lot of impact on him outside of altering his appearance, possibly allowing him to feel, and a second Keyblade.
Use the word nobody to mean "no one," or for someone who's completely unimportant or insignificant. It's not nice to call someone a nobody; everyone wants to be a somebody.
Silver Member. Darkside is a NATURAL Heartless. That's why there were some in Kingdom Hearts and the one that appeared when you fought Ansem. Darkside was not born out of Sora's darkness and Riku did not become Darkside and Ansem is not Darkside.

First making a cameo during the final scenes of the 2004 title Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and full appearance in Kingdom Hearts II, Roxas is a "Nobody", who was created from the series' main character Sora who briefly loses his heart during the first game of the series.
However, unlike the other two parts of the collection, this HD version of 358/2 Days is not a game. Rather, it is a nearly three-hour movie containing all the cutscenes from the DS game in remastered form.
A Heartless is what happens when a Heart is overwhelmed by Darkness. Their Heart is lost and in the persons place is a being of pure Darkness, aka a Heartless. A Nobody is the body and mind of a person who has been turned to a Heartless. They lack a Heart but can over time regain one.
Since Roxas is Sora's nobody, the coma apparently affects him too, and he falls asleep as well for a while. This is why Roxas has amnesia when the other nobodies don't--they don't have to compete with their original selves for the memories.
Since Sora didn't have any formal training with the keyblade,he didn't know how to release Kairi's heart,so he did the first thing he thought of,and stabbed himself to release both of their hearts and send Kairi's back to her body.
Roxas easily has the best character development out of any Kingdom Hearts character. His story is good even by conventional standards. Because angst. And his story is a lot more dramatic and somewhat "relatable".
In The World That Never Was, a resurrected Xemnas tells Sora that Nobodies can grow new hearts and feel emotions. It is revealed this fact was deliberately kept from the other members of Organization XIII, who were meant to inherit Master Xehanort's heart through Kingdom Hearts.
Sora (containing Kairi and Ven's hearts) expels Kairi's heart from his body. Sora's cast away body and soul (With Ven's heart) manifest as Roxas. The reason Roxas does not look EXACTLY like Sora is due to the presence of Ven's heart. Basically, Roxas has a heart.
Naminé is a special Nobody, born when Kairi's heart left Sora's body. At the beginning of Kingdom Hearts when the Destiny Islands were engulfed by darkness, Kairi's heart hid in Sora's body instead of becoming a Heartless, as she had no darkness in her heart.
Roxas is Ventus's Nobody because when Sora loses his heart, his body is used to make xion.

Roxas was created when Sora became a Heartless back in KH1. The process of creating a Heartless forms a subsequent Nobody (the body left over) if the person has a strong heart, like Sora did. However, Roxas is not an ordinary Nobody. This is because Sora had three hearts present in him; his own, Kairi's, and Ven's.
Performing experiments in Toy Story, BH6, and bringing Vexen back into the organization. They created a new Xion and then Xion's heart transferred and awakened inside of that Replica when Sora connected to it, that's why the replica starts to spaz out and Axel regains his memories.
