Xfinity cars do have less horsepower (I think 650-700) while cup has 725 (used to be 850 4 years ago). The other cars I'm not sure, but they are less as you go down the ranks.
In 2020, he won the Cup Series championship, the first for Hendrick Motorsports since 2016. He is the only son of 1988 Winston Cup Series champion Bill Elliott.
