Athena was the wife of King Triton, and the mother of Ariel, Andrina, Arista, Aquata, Adella, Alana, and Attina. She was the Queen of Atlantica, and beloved by her family and subjects.
According to Oh My Disney, "The color of Ariel's hair was a point of contention among the team." While they originally wanted Ariel to be a blonde, some thought it was too similar to Hannah's character. Since red is a complementary color to Ariel's green tail, the choice was made.
Ariel appears as an adult in Return to the Sea and gives birth to a daughter named Melody, becoming the first, and currently, only, Disney princess to become a mother. Ariel is protective of her daughter, as Triton was of Ariel in the first film.
While some of Sebastian's features resemble a lobster, he is definitely a crab as is stated in The Little Mermaid itself a few times. Nonetheless, Disney merchandise has muddied the waters of the debate, such as an official plush toy referring to the character as "Sebastian the Lobster."
Prince Eric is the deuteragonist of the 1989 Disney animated film The Little Mermaid, who also appears in its 1992-94 television series and 2000 sequel. The character is based on the "prince" character of Hans Christian Andersen's story "The Little Mermaid", but adapted by writer Roger Allers for Disney's film.
The Little Mermaid action takes place under the sea, in the kingdom of Atlantica that is supposedly located in Denmark, where Hans Christian Andersen is from. This may be true for an original story and in fact there is even a statue of Little Mermaid in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
She was originally a mermaid princess and the daughter of King Poseidon, named after the original sea goddess. Her back-story is similar to Ariel (from the movie) because she had a beautiful singing voice and lost her mother who had been killed by a pirate.
Morgana is the younger sister of Ursula and the main antagonist in The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea.
Background. Eric begins out as the fiancé of Phoebe Buffay's identical twin sister, Ursula.
Melissa McCarthy is excited for her fans to see her play Ursula in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney's The Little Mermaid. McCarthy is part of the cast of The Little Mermaid, in which she portrays the villainous sea witch who steals Ariel's voice.
Ashman's influence is also clear as Ursula went from a tall Joan Collins lookalike to the half-octopus version of Divine the drag queen. Minkoff and the team have also described her as a “Miami Beach matronâ€. Fun fact, Ursula also went through a few other designs including a manta ray, and a pufferfish.
She grabs Melody with her tentacles. Morgana reveals that Ariel was only trying to protect her from her. Morgana confesses that she herself tricked Melody into giving the trident to her and that King Triton is really the king and is Melody's grandfather. She tells Melody that her time as a mermaid has just expired.
Triton is somewhat cold and arrogant to Percy Jackson, talking down to him and acting as if his half-brother was lazy for not appearing sooner after Percy jumped off of the now blown up Princess Andromeda. This is probably understandable, however, as Percy is the son of his father's affair with Sally Jackson, a mortal.
Amphitrite, in Greek mythology, the goddess of the sea, wife of the god Poseidon, and one of the 50 (or 100) daughters (the Nereids) of Nereus and Doris (the daughter of Oceanus). Poseidon chose Amphitrite from among her sisters as the Nereids performed a dance on the isle of Naxos.

Poseidon's history in Greek mythology is the same in the DC Comics universe, including the fact that he is the brother of Zeus and Hades. Angered, Poseidon takes Mera and flees to Aquaman's time. Aquaman and Aqualad follow with the help of Zeus and save both Mera and Poseidon from a berserk creature created by Mera.

Percy is the son of Poseidon; his mother, Sally Jackson, married a man named Gabe Ugliano when Percy was young. Percy likes and respects his new step-father and eventually reveals to him that he is a demigod.
He is prejudiced towards humans (possibly due to the death of his wife, even though Athena's death was an accident and despite evidence that merpeople are half-human).
Ursula is based on the sea witch from The Little Mermaid. She is the daughter of Poseidon from Greek Mythology.
