'Game of Thrones' Season 5, Episode 8 Recap: Jon Snow battles the White Walkers in 'Hardhome' Daenerys and Tyrion have a long-awaited heart-to-heart but a jaw-dropping battle sequence between Jon and the White Walkers is what makes this episode a real stunner.
Arya Stark Kills the Night King (Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3)
What happened at Hardhome? Hardhome, the nearest thing to a town that the wildlings created north of the Wall, was destroyed six centuries ago. According to the tales, Hardhome was burned to cinders, with the fire allegedly burning so hot as to be seen from the Wall.
Jon kills a White Walker with Longclaw. When the White Walkers attack Hardhome, Jon is able to defeat one in a duel using Longclaw. Pressing his advantage, Jon slashes the Walker with Longclaw; the creature shatters on contact, revealing that dragonglass is not the only thing that can kill a White Walker.
In the June 2015 season 5 finale "Mother's Mercy", Jon is stabbed to death by Alliser Thorne and several men of the Night's Watch after being labeled a traitor.
[This story contains major spoilers for season eight, episode three of HBO's Game of Thrones, "The Long Night."] And just like that, it's over: the Night King and the White Walkers are no more, all thanks to one person: Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

Contains spoilers for season eight, episode three of Game of Thrones. After songs had been sung, weapons handed out, and prayers and goodbyes said, there was only one thing left to do. Fight. This week's much-anticipated 82-minute episode, “The Long Night”, saw the Great War come to Winterfell.
Meryn Trant
He was the first person on her list. Status: Dead. So dead. At a brothel in Braavos, Arya stabbed him in the eyes then slowly stabbed him to death while reminding him who she was.The kindly man is a priest of the Many-Faced God in the House of Black and White in Braavos and a Faceless Man. He does not give his name.
Why did Arya throw her Braavosi coin away the second time? - Quora. In order to become a Faceless Man (or in her case, Woman) the apprentice must get rid of all its previous possessions because it would remind him/her of who he/she was before.
Arya noticed that the insurance man always tested the coin he got by biting on it (to see if it was real). She coated the coin in poison, and he bit on it, thus being poisoned.
Cockle (bivalve) A cockle is an edible, marine bivalve mollusc. Although many small edible bivalves are loosely called cockles, true cockles are species in the family Cardiidae. True cockles live in sandy, sheltered beaches throughout the world.
Clams come in different shapes and sizes and are used in a broad sense to refer to all bivalve mollusks while cockles have a distinct shape which is round and appear heart shaped with distinct patterns on the shells. Both breathe through siphons and live in the sand or mud and can be boiled, baked, or fried.
From season 4 through out season 5 it is a mix between A Feast for Crows and A Dance of Dragons.
In a last-ditch effort to prove his worth, Quentyn visits Dany's two dragons, Viserion and Rhaegal, and attempts to tame them. He dies of his burns three days later. Jon Connington and Prince Aegon never arrive at Meereen.
Game of Thrones (season 5) The fifth season of the fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones premiered on HBO on April 12, and concluded on June 14, 2015. It was broadcast on Sunday at 9:00 pm in the United States, consisting of 10 episodes, each running approximately 50–60 minutes.
Season 3. Running from outlaws, Arya fell in with Lannister deserter Sandor “The Hound” Clegane. They attempted to reunite Arya with her mother Catelyn and brother Robb, but arrived just as the Starks were betrayed and murdered by houses Frey and Bolton on behalf of the Lannisters.
Littlefinger gives Bran a Valyrian steel dagger (the one used by Bran's would-be assassin in season one), which Bran passes to Arya. Meera leaves Winterfell to return to Greywater Watch; Bran's indifference to her departure makes her realize that Bran "died" in the Three-Eyed Raven's cave.
So do not mourn the character formerly known as Bran Stark when he dies in Game of Thrones Season Eight, because Bran Stark is already dead. And it's not until Season Four, when Bran, Meera, Hodor, and Jojen reach a giant Weirwood tree north of the wall, that we see the Three-Eyed Raven in his human form.
Arya (played by Maisie Williams, 22) lost her virginity to longtime crush Gendry after he forged her custom dragonglass weapon. Talk about foreplay. Demanding to know if he'd slept with the Red Woman, she asked for details of his sexual history since they'd parted ways as children in season 3.
In the Game of Thrones Season 5 Finale Arya Stark becomes blind, because she killed a man who was not hers to kill.
Arya Stark: Arya tells Jon, Sansa, and Bran she's not going to stay in the North, nor is she going to stay in King's Landing. And with Jon exiled, she becomes queen of the North, and in her last scene, a crown is placed on her head while her constituents cheer and chant.
When she thinks she is finally going to stay someplace safe, with her aunt, she and the Hound hear that Aunt Lysa is dead. The sense of irony and fatality overwhelm her. She laughs with bitterness and with the growing sense of conviction that Death ALWAYS wins and that nothing is ever going to turn out right for her.
Daenerys Targaryen
Daenerys was about 17 years old when the show began: We hear that it's been 17 years since Robert's Rebellion — when Dany was born. So she's about 24 on Game of Thrones now. Actor Emilia Clarke is 32.
