Find and select the image you want to resize, and then click the “Open” button. On the Home tab of the Paint toolbar, click the “Resize” button. Paint gives you the option of resizing by percentage or by pixels. It uses percentage by default, and that's fine for rough resizing.
Stick with the 1080 pixel width, and go up to 1350 pixels tall. If your photo is larger, no worries – Instagram will reduce it when you post. Try not to post smaller, though, as your image will lose quality when viewed on most devices, especially retina screens.
The width of the 16:9 proportion is wider than others, so it can capture wider area than any other resolution. Many people choose 16:9 to take photo when they need a panorama picture. Therefore, you should adjust the aspect ratio if you want a fabulous picture.
The most common size for a photo is 4R, or 4 inches by 6 inches, typically because it's not too small and not too big. There are many types of frames available for that size. The aspect ratio of the photo print is 2 by 3, suitable for photos taken on majority of digital cameras and phone cameras.

Facebook Event Cover Photo and Video Size

The optimal size for post (shared) images is 1,200 x 630 pixels however the maximum width and height in your Facebook feed is 2048 x 2048 pixels. The orientation of your image—whether it's horizontal or vertical will determine which dimensions Facebook uses to show your image.
The first number the width of the picture, or the pixels across columns, and the second number is height of the picture, or the pixels across its width. Digital image resolution is expressed as pixels (or dots) across by pixels down, such as 640 x 480, meaning 640 pixels across by 480 pixels down. The best printable resolution is 300 dots per inch.

To see how the file size is calculated, take the image above as an example and assume that it is A4 at 300 dpi.
The more pixels per inch, the finer the detail in the print will be and the sharper it will look. Probably the minimum value for reasonable print quality is 180 ppi. For a better image you can go to 240 ppi and for the best quality you may have to go to 300 ppi.
In most cases, 640 x 480 pixels is more than enough, and for many projects, you need half that many pixels or even fewer. Pixels for prints: If you plan to print your photo and want the best picture quality, you need enough pixels to set the output resolution in the neighborhood of 200 to 300 ppi.
To resize an image for print, open the Image Size dialog box (Image > Image Size) and start by turning the Resample option off. Enter the size you need into the Width and Height fields, and then check the Resolution value.
Checking resolution on a PC
To check a photo's resolution on a Windows PC, select the file you want to use. Right-click on the image and then select "Properties." A window will appear with the image's details. Go to the "Details" tab to see the image's dimensions and resolution.Control+click on an image to see an image's properties.
