According to October 2020 company data from Sega Sammy, Sonic the Hedgehog was the company's most popular video game franchise with over 1.14 billion unit sales and F2P downloads.
While Sega does put up a good fight, and absolutely deserves it's place in gaming history. Nintendo really is the uncontested, and seemingly unbeatable champ. While the companies targeted demographics have always been on the younger side, they have managed to create franchises beloved by all ages.
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), commonly shortened to Super NES or Super Nintendo, is a 16-bit home video game console developed by Nintendo that was released in 1990 in Japan and South Korea, 1991 in North America, 1992 in Europe and Oceania, and 1993 in South America.

The highest-earning video games in 2020 (premium titles)

In the last year, Grand Theft Auto 5 sold 20 million units, the best the game has done since its initial release in 2013. This brings the game's total to 140 million units sold, according to numbers released in Take-Two's earnings reports.
It did say, "we have had an amazing journey with you so far but sadly, it's time to say goodbye." The decision likely comes down to licensing. EA was once the exclusive Tetris license holder, but that expired a while ago, and it appears EA just doesn't want to renew.

The GameCube was factually more powerful than the PS2, and it's easily noticable when you compare the same game on the two systems. The GameCube version of the game usually would look sharper, clearer than the PS2 versions of the games.

While the Sega Genesis had a CPU advantage — leading to the "Blast Processing" ad campaign — the SNES outclassed Sega in terms of power. Without getting too much into numbers, the SNES could produce more colors on the screen at once. Sprites could be bigger, and it could produce a higher resolution.
While the SNES had the market on JRPGs, the Sega Genesis had some of the best beat 'em ups ever. During the 16-big era, this was Sega's ace in the hole.
Nintendo Won The War And Sega Was Out Of The Console Business Not Long After. Sega would end up making a series of missteps in the mid-90s which would begin a quick decline of what was one of the most successful companies just a few years earlier.

The biggest reason as to why people hate '06 is because it was an unfinished game. The many glitches it has proves that. Another reason is I hear is that every character aside from Shadow was OOC.
