This score is calculated based on a combination of internal and external assessments throughout the 11th and 12th grade years. IB Grade Scale. 7 - Excellent. 6 - Very Good. 5 - Good.
Four students excelled achieving top marks with 45 points, and four other students achieved a point score of 44. According to UNIS, “less than 1% of students receiving the IB diploma obtain a score of 45 points†and “only 7% receive the top grade of a 7†in each subject so all students have done phenomenally well.
AP grades on a 1 to 5 scale, while IB mostly uses a 1 to 7 range. Parents may be used to the traditional letter grade system of A, B, C and so on that most high schools use. But AP and IB exams are scored using a numerical score, with 5 and 7 being the best score students can receive.

Is 43 a good IB score? A result in the 40-41 band is definitely good enough to get an offer from some of the world's best universities. 42-43: Virtually everyone will agree that this is a stellar result, which only the top 4-6% of all the candidates reach.
IB higher level is, at some high schools, considered harder than AP. Most colleges give credit for AP exams and higher-level IB exams, but not all give credit for standard-level IB exams.
All IB DP courses are given a 1.0 weight. In an IB DP course, an A+ is 5.3, and A is 5.0, and an A- is 4.7.
Good IB scores—as with any academic qualifications—are subjective, being highly dependent on a student's target university (and country) and preferred course. All IB students are required to score a minimum of 24 points for six subjects. The average IB scores throughout the years have varied between 28-30 points.
Is a 3.8 GPA good? If your school uses an unweighted GPA scale, a 3.8 is one of the highest GPAs you can get. You're most likely earning As and A-s in all of your classes. 94.42% of schools have an average GPA below a 3.8.
Is a 3.9 GPA good? Assuming an unweighted GPA, a 3.9 means that you're doing exceptionally well. This GPA indicates that you've earned all As on average across all of your classes. If you've been taking high level classes, this is all the more impressive.
A 4.0 is an entire point higher than the national average GPA. In general, a 4.0 is the ideal GPA, as it means you've worked hard to achieve A's in all of your classes. In the case of unweighted GPAs, a 4.0 is as good as it gets.

Do IB courses receive weighted grades? Yes, all IB courses receive weighted credit at MVHS and at the university level. Universities will only award up to 8 semesters of weighted credit from AP and IB classes towards their GPA calculations.
Usually, a GPA of 3.0 - 3.5 is considered good enough at many high schools, colleges, and universities. Top academic institutions usually require GPAs higher than 3.5.

Maths HLTaking the position right after its big brother, Further Maths HL, Maths HL is one of the hardest IB subjects for high school students. Along with the difficult concepts and complex optional topics, the subject has an immense workload and tricky exam questions.
Here is AQA's own guidance for its AQA GCSE 2021 grade percentages. Grade 4 score = 19.6% / Grade 7 score = 57.5%. Grade 4 score = 26.5% / Grade 7 score = 51%.
The global pass rate for the IB diploma is approximately 80%. In order to receive an IB diploma, candidates must receive a minimum of 24 points or an average of four (or C) out of a possible seven points for six subjects.
IB subjects are graded on a 1- 7 scale with 7 being the highest score. To qualify for the award of the IB Diploma a student must receive a combined score of 24 points across 6 subjects with at least 12 points from higher level subjects and a minimum of 9 points from standard level subject.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma program — an international curriculum that prepares 16- to 19-year-old high-school students for tertiary education. Achieving a perfect score in IB is hard but not impossible ! Less than 1% of IB candidates achieve an IB 45 world-wide.
IB final exams typically make up about 75% of the students' final course mark, but the exact percentage varies from course to course.

Unlike their UK counterparts, US universities don't release official cut-off scores for the IB Diploma. Based on what the Oxbridge universities in the UK expect from IB applicants, an overall grade of 38+ would be well received by the Ivy Leagues. For the more selective universities, you're looking at around 40+.
Results release datesThe IB conducts two examination sessions each year. May session – results will be delivered to schools on 5 July 2021 starting at 12:00 GTM (noon). Students can access results via the IB's candidate results website on 6 July 2021.
