View TV Box InformationSign in using your Xfinity ID and password. After you sign in, click the Devices tab. On this tab you can view the model number and MAC address of each X1 TV Box in your home.

Make sure WiFi is on in your device settings. Make sure your device is connected to your Xfinity home network and not the Xfinity WiFi network or another wireless network by accident. Restart your device, open the Xfinity Stream app, and see if the app recognizes that you're connected to your home network.
Watch Live TV
- Open the Xfinity Stream app while connected to any WiFi or cellular connection.
- Swipe left to right to open the main navigation, and tap All Listings under Guide.
- Tap Watch to begin streaming the program, or tap Info to see more details about the current program.
Make sure your device has an active network (either in-home Xfinity network or another Internet connection). Close and re-open the app. Try playing the recording.
Access your DVR RecordingsBe sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi® network and make sure your show has finished recording. Open the DIRECTV App and tap Watch Your DVR. Choose On DVR and play any fully recorded show or movie from your DVR playlist. Tap My downloads and choose the show you want to watch.

- Select Saved on the Main Menu.
- Select Recordings to view all programs that have been recorded.
- If more than one program of a series has been recorded select the title of the program and press OK to view all recorded episodes.

Why Recordings Deleted from Xfinity DVR. Sudden Power Shutdown – In the Power outage event, the ongoing recordings during broadcast get interrupted and due to its unsupportive form, it gets eliminated from the recordings content list. Corrupted Hard Drive – A Faulty hard drive directly affects the DVR functioning.
Comcast is increasing X1 cloud DVR storage hours 60 to 150, more than doubling the capacity. The service allows subscribers to access their DVR recordings from mobile devices and computers via the Xfinity Stream app or portal.
If you get a new non-X1 DVR TV Box, you will not have access to your old recordings and you will have to reset recordings for future programs on your new TV Box.

- Check the remote and press the Record button to start recording.
- You can even record while you are watching TV.
- On the TV home screen, select the record now button.
- In the TV guide, select any of the programs and schedule the same to record.
DVRs equipped with an Ethernet port can be quickly connected to a PC for transferring programs. Since the video files are digital, the PC mouse or touchpad on a laptop can be used to drag and drop files from the DVR onto the computer's hard drive, so hours of programming can be transferred in seconds.
View Camera Feeds from Your X1 TV Box
- Using your Xfinity Voice Remote, press the microphone button and say "Show me my cameras." This will open a thumbnail for each camera at the bottom of your screen.
- Click the thumbnail to view live video.
Smart Resume was recently removed from the Comcast Labs menu. It's now turned on by default and found in Settings > Preferences > General. Guide Readability enhancements were recently removed from the Comcast Labs menu and renamed Enhanced Text Readability.
This feature is now officially moved out of Comcast Labs and will be turned on by default in Preferences. When the notification appears, press Info on the remote to invoke the Mini Info. Then select Restart from the action bar to start the program from the beginning.
I was surprised to the see: --When watching Live TV, you can not pause. You also cannot rewind. --When watching a Recorded show and you Fast Forward, you are unable to see preview of what you are fast forwarding.
The answer is a simple - NO! It's a single-tuner receiver. To record 1 channel while watching another you have to use the tuner on this box to do the recording, and the tuner on your TV to do the 'watching'.
