The rumour that Minecraft is shutting down was started by fake news and prank website Channel45News. The fake news outlet encourages users to create untrue news stories to share with their friends as a prank.
According to the YouTube blog, the site, which was launched in 2005, was just a way to find the best video in the world. And today, eight years later, it is closing the competition. The site will stop taking submissions on Tuesday, April 2 at midnight and close down. All videos will be deleted.
Grab the elytra and any other stuff in the End you want, then place your ender chest and stuff the elytra and all of your current gear inside. Then kill yourself (which isn't hard in the End) and when you respawn and look in your ender chest, you'll have glorious elytra without ever having even glanced at the dragon.
No, the end is not endless. As stated in the Official Minecraft Wiki: Its default size and location remain the same across all three dimensions. Meaning that the world border in the end will also be the same as in the overworld, so around 30 million blocks away (from 0,0).
it might be fun to survive in the nether. You can survive even without the starter chest. You can get stuff in Nether Fortresses, and, with a bit of luck, get some Obsidian and Flint and Steel in them, in order to build a portal and finally escape the Nether. You'll have to punch Zombie Pigmen for getting food, though.
there's absolutely no way back out except killing the dragon or death. Actually, you may be able to use MCedit to do this as well.
They are uncommon and generate on random islands. One may find several cities clustered together, or travel for thousands of blocks before finding one.
According to a 'story' on a site called Channel 45 News, “Mojang has announced on their Twitter that Minecraft will shut down their servers on December 21st, 2020.” But if you actually follow that link, you'll soon find that the site in question is a prank generator, designed to let you quickly make goofball news

Players can re-summon the ender dragon once the fight is over by placing four end crystals on the edges of the exit portal — one on each side. (Fewer crystals can be used by exploiting this trick.) When the dragon is re-summoned, a series of explosions resets the obsidian pillars, iron bars, and end crystals.
The only ways to leave the End are to either kill the Ender Dragon and then take the Exit Portal, or to die.
If you find an Ender Chest in the End City then you can alternatively put your most valuable stuff in the chest then throw yourself into the void to get back to the overworld (assuming you're not in hardcore mode).
purple beam of light vertically from the top and bottom when an entity enters it. During the 40 game ticks (2 seconds) this beam is visible, no additional entities can be teleported. purple teleport beam every 2400 game ticks (2 minutes) without an entity being teleported.
Minecraft Item. An Ender Crystal is a type of block (Tile Entity) that is found in The End. They are situated on top of large and tall towers made of obsidian, on top of a block of bedrock. They are unobtainable and easy to break.
Yes, you can fight the Enderdragon on peaceful mode. There won't be any endermen since it's on but the dragon will still be there.
End cities usually generate in flat areas, in "midlands" or "highlands" biomes, which are found on larger islands. They are uncommon and generate on random islands.
The dragon can pass through all blocks, destroying almost all types. Blocks not destroyed are those that naturally generate on the central End island and those that are intended to be indestructible: Obsidian.
There is no way to hatch the dragon egg, its basically a trophy for defeating the Enderdragon. You can get the egg into your inventory by using the following steps: When you defeated the Enderdragon, a structure will spawn made out of bedrock with voidblocks and an egg.
Steps to Find the End City
- Teleport through Another Portal. In Minecraft, after you have travelled to the End and defeated the ender dragon, a new structure will appear that is made out of bedrock and has a small portal in the center.
- Increase your Render Distance.
- Find an End City.
Ender Dragon will Respawn
Once the outer pillars and their end crystals are rebuilt, the Ender Dragon will respawn again. You should see the boss bar appear again at the top of the game window. The beds only let you sleep in them when it's night time, and this lack of time apparently confuses them to the point of spontaneous explosion. Sleeping in the Nether has never worked, but before Beta 1.6 the beds were neither sentient nor quite as explosive; you'd simply get the "you can only sleep at night" message.
According to the Minecraft Wiki: Villagers can sleep in the Nether or the End, if the Overworld's time is correct.
Pros and cons of living in the End
It has a large amount of obsidian, and an unlimited amount of ender pearls and an unlimited amount of end stone, with the ability to respawn the ender dragon. Also, they can find purpur-related blocks. Unlike the Nether, it can have both water and lava in it.You can fish in the End Dimension. For any of you multiplayer server people, if you have AFK fishers that are causing your overworld mob farms to slow down because of the random mobs spawning around the AFK fishing shacks, you can have all your AFK fisher people move to the End Dimension.
1 Answer. According to the wiki : Ender pearls collide with vines, grass, dead bushes, ferns, flowers, all sapling types, all mushrooms types, all minecart types, boats, and nether portals. So no dying from throwing it in the void.
Endermen can teleport through any type of block if there is ample space on the other side. What you could do is cover the ground outside with blocks they can not teleport on top of. As far as my understanding goes, the only blocks they can't teleport to are water lava and transparent blocks. (Source).
The player can also grow trees and crops. The player can go to the outer islands, where they can find chorus fruits, chorus plants and end city-related things. The End is the only place where the player can find an end ship, where they can get the elytra, an extremely useful item used for flying.
After the dragon is slain for the first time only, its egg warps in above the island's central bedrock structure. The bedrock structure fills in with an End portal interface to become the exit portal, enabling the player to transport back to the Overworld and respawn at their spawn point.
Trees can be generated anywhere where there are light and dirt. All saplings grow normally in the Nether and in The End, although they must be planted in dirt transported from the Overworld and provided with sufficient light and space.
