Youkai (??, yōkai) is a term mostly associated with Japanese folk creatures and ghosts. In some cases even a normal human can become a youkai under the right conditions. One of many species of Youkai. Gensokyo youkai tend to live within the wilderness, far away from human settlements.
The White Yo-kai are a type of Yo-kai found in Yo-kai Watch. They are Yo-kai under the influence of McKraken. They appear in both the Yo-kai World and Springdale but cannot be befriended due to being controlled by McKraken's anti-human propaganda.
Tengu are worshipped as beneficial kami (gods or revered spirits) in various Japanese religious cults. Worshippers of tengu on other sacred mountains have adopted similar images for their deities, such as Sanjakubō (???) or Akiba Gongen (????) of Akiba and Dōryō Gongen (????) of Saijō-ji Temple in Odawara.
They are a type of yōkai. The word kitsune is sometimes translated as 'fox spirit', which is actually a broader folkloric category. This does not mean that kitsune are ghosts, nor that they are fundamentally different from regular foxes.
Yōkai often possess household objects or even structures, such as umbrellas, lamps, and tea kettles. Most of them are mischievous and dangerous, just like the futon spirit mentioned at the beginning.
Oni ( ? ?? ) is a kind of yōkai, demon, ogre, or troll in Japanese folklore. They are typically portrayed as hulking figures with one or more horns growing out of their heads.

Though some Yo-kai cannot die in the strictest sense of the word, they can have their Soul Gems forcefully removed, leaving an empty shell behind or be exorcised and sent to the other side. The "death" can be reversed by returning their souls, however.

Azure Dragon can be found through patrol in Breezy Hills. Alternatively, the player can obtain him as a rare drop when fighting Ultra Hinozall.
Castelius Max appears on trees at Gourd Pond Park (Breezy Hills) at night. Alternatively, fuse Castelius I with a Platinum Bar, which can be obtained: as a rare drop from Castelius Max.
Illuminoct can only be found at Bucklebreaker Station which can only be reached by taking the Golden Happy-Go-Lucky Hexpress, which shows up rarely in the train stations connected to the outside of Gera Gera Abyss Resort, where he can be battled once a day until he's befriended through normal means.
Neighfarious can be found in the darkroom after going through the 13th emergency exit in the Infinite Tunnel, Alternatively, he can be freed from the Crank-a-kai with a Moon Excitement Coin.
Shadow Venoct can be obtained via his Kon, which can be obtained after completing the exclusive quest, which can be played after scanning the M06 movie ticket preorder exclusive Jinpei Yo-kai Ark in the game.
Yokai are a wide category of monsters, ghosts and other supernatural beings of Japanese myth. They are as diverse as Japan's historical imagination and could be fearsome or tame, powerful or weak, villainous or good. Most well known yokai are stock characters who show up in countless old myths.

Rank S (Japanese: ???S, Ranku Esu) is the highest level for all Yo-kai. To upgrade the Yo-kai Watch to this ran, one has to go to Timers & More, then complete the "Rank S Challenge!" Request, which is only available after the completion of the main game.
The Rank A Challenge will become available after completing the Rank B Challenge. Like before, you must find and defeat three Yo-kai. This time the Yo-kai are Quaken, Benkei, and Alhail. All three are located in the Springdale Underground Waterway.
You don't need the Yokai watch to obtain legendary medals.
Profile. As Dandoodle is a Legendary Yo-kai, the player must befriend the following Yo-kai to unlock Dandoodle's Yo-kai Medallium page.
You can obtain Legendary Yo-kai Medals by completing FATEs in the specific zones with Silver or Gold rating while having your Yo-kai Minions out. You do not need to have the Yo-kai Watch equipped. Each minion allows you to obtain Legendary Yo-kai Medals of that type.
Unlike the Legendary Yo-kai from past games, the Yo-kai Medallium does not hold their Legend Pages, for they don't have any. The 'Merican Legendary Yo-kai must be found in the overworld and befriended like any other special event Yo-kai.
To obtain the trophy, the player must go through Lappinitup's special dungeon. The trophy has a 20% chance of dropping from a Clu-T-Fact.
