The penalty for breaching the personal data protection principles set out under the PDPA is the imposition of a fine not exceeding RM 300,000 (USD 1 = RM 3.80) and/or imprisonment not exceeding 2 years.

In the recruitment world, we're talking about the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) form. What is the PDPA? Personal individual data refers to any sensitive personal details of individuals that may be used to be identified from the information collected by a party (company).
Personal data is information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. What identifies an individual could be as simple as a name or a number or could include other identifiers such as an IP address or a cookie identifier, or other factors.
A name and a corporate email address clearly relates to a particular individual and is therefore personal data.
The Data Protection Act (DPA) protects the privacy and integrity of data held on individuals by businesses and other organisations. The act ensures that individuals (customers and employees) have access to their data and can correct it, if necessary.

The Data Privacy Act (DPA), or Republic Act No. 10173 was passed by the Philippines Congress in 2012 and finally implemented five years later in 2016. RA 10173 assures the “free flow of information to promote innovation and growth”(Republic Act. 2) while protecting the users' fundamental rights to privacy.

While not all photographs, video and audio recordings capture personal data, some clearly do. 4.2 An image of an identifiable individual captured in a photograph or video recording is personal data about that individual.
4 (1). Personal data are any information which are related to an identified or identifiable natural person. For example, the telephone, credit card or personnel number of a person, account data, number plate, appearance, customer number or address are all personal data.
