What is the delay time for live telecast in TV channels? Because the signal is transmitted with the speed of light and even if the satellite is on moon the total to and fro time should be less than 3 sec based on simple calculations. The lag is due to operational delay as well as intentional delay i.e, Broadcast delay.
With traditional television broadcasting, picture signals are sent in analog form: each signal travels as an undulating (up-and-down moving) wave. Most countries are now switching over to digital television, which works in a similar way to digital radio. Signals are transmitted in a numerically coded form.

Kim and Hugo, the high school steadies, live in Sweet Apple, Ohio where most of the action takes place. Conrad Birdie, arguably the biggest rock and roll superstar in the world, has just been drafted, which brings his legion of teen-aged female fans marching in the streets in protest.
What is the story of Bye Bye Birdie?
When the draft selects rock star Conrad Birdie, his fans are devastated, but none more than struggling songwriter Albert Peterson (Dick Van Dyke), whose song Birdie was just about to record. Albert's longtime girlfriend, Rosie (Janet Leigh), pushes Albert to write a new tune that Birdie will perform on television to a fan selected in a contest. The scheme works, with young Ohio teenager Kim McAfee (Ann-Margret) declared the winner, but no one has counted on the jealous wrath of her boyfriend.
Bye Bye Birdie is a stage musical with a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse. Originally titled Let's Go Steady, Bye Bye Birdie is set in 1958. The story was inspired by the phenomenon of popular singer Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the Army in 1957.
Ann-Margret has no children, but she was stepmother to the three children of husband Roger Smith, an actor who later became her manager.
