Cans, glass or plastic beverage containers, cups, squeeze bottles, and thermos bottles are not permitted into the Progressive Field. Small single-serving juice boxes, one twenty (20) ounce or less factory sealed bottle of water (one per person), and food items can be brought into the Ballpark.You can leave Progressive Field and re-enter through designated gates in the left-field and right-field areas, but make sure you have your ticket scanned on the way out to return through security.

CLEVELAND -- Jacobs Field will be renamed Progressive Field under terms of an agreement between the Cleveland Indians and the auto insurance company. The downtown ballpark, known as Jacobs Field since it opened in 1994, will be rebranded for the 2008 season, the Indians said today.
The ballpark, which was referred to as "Cleveland Indians Baseball Park" and "Indians Park" on blueprints, cost approximately $175 million to build, of which $91 million was provided by Indians owner Richard Jacobs. The remaining $84 million was raised by the sin tax.
Progressive Field is a non- smoking facility. Fans may use the re-entry available at Gate A to smoke outside of the ballpark. It is illegal to consume marijuana in public. Smoking, vaping, ingesting, or otherwise consuming marijuana is prohibited in all areas of Coors Field, including designated smoking areas.

A:The grass is grown on 90 percent USGA-spec sand and 10 percent Dakota Peat Moss. The infield skin is approximately 50 percent sand, 25 percent silt and 25 percent clay.Next, a hit softball comes off the bat with a little less velocity than a baseball. Last, grass slows the ball down. A dirt infield means a ground ball has a better chance of getting past the infield and keeping the game moving.

These seating areas must be evacuated before the start of postgame Indians fireworks shows: Homerun Porch, Bleachers, Heritage Park, Right Field Gate Area, Sections 101-103, 107, 170-179, 303-304, 403-404, 469-478, 504, 570-577. Additional sections may also be evacuated depending on weather conditions.
