Here's how the switching process works:
- Find a recent energy bill or use our estimation tool. You need to know who your supplier is, and what tariff you're on.
- Run a quote & select a tariff.
- Check your old account balance.
- Allow for around three weeks for the switch to complete.

Electricity is a form of energy. Electricity is the flow of electrons. All matter is made up of atoms, and an atom has a center, called a nucleus. The nucleus contains positively charged particles called protons and uncharged particles called neutrons.
Disadvantages of Solar Energy

- Weather Dependent. Although solar energy can still be collected during cloudy and rainy days, the efficiency of the solar system drops.
- Solar Energy Storage Is Expensive.
- Uses a Lot of Space.

Fixed-rate energy plans are one of the biggest and best benefits you can get from an energy supplier's electricity and natural gas plans. These plans give you the opportunity to choose an energy rate (kWh or therm) price that fits your energy budget and lock in that energy rate for the length of your contract term.
Generally speaking, if your inverter capacity is larger than 5 kilowatts and your solar panel capacity is 10 kilowatts or less an AGL Solar Savers plan is likely to be the best high feed-in tariff plan available.

The scheme offered eligible households, businesses and community organisations with small-scale solar systems of five kilowatts or less a credit of at least 60 cents per kilowatt hour for excess electricity fed back into the grid.
