SAT/ACT Writing Section Requirements
Cal State Fullerton recommends that you take the SAT Essay/ACT Writing section. If you do well, they'll consider your application to be stronger.You will need above average high school grades to get into California State University Fullerton. The average high school GPA of the admitted freshman class at California State University Fullerton was 3.48 on the 4.0 scale indicating that primarily B+ students are accepted and ultimately attend.

The following persons are eligible to enroll in Fullerton College:
- High school graduates or students at least eighteen years of age. Title IV Financial Aid requirements differ. For Title IV financial aid, a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Students in K-12 who qualify for the Special Admit Student Program.
Applicants who have attended SDSU, please note that you must submit to SOPHAS transcripts from all colleges/universities you have attended, including SDSU. Three letters of recommendation are required. Two should be academic references, from professors who have taught you in class.
You will need to request between two to four letters of recommendation, depending on the institution.

There are two required sections of the SAT: Math and Evidence-Based Reading. Each section is scored between 200 and 800, with 800 being the best possible score. Students also receive a total score, which is the sum of the Math and EBR scores; this sum ranges from 400 to 1600.GPA

Transfer Orientation Dates & Deadlines
The following dates are for Transfer Students attending Cal State Fullerton beginning Fall 2019. The following dates are for transfer students attending Cal State Fullerton beginning Spring 2020.Unlike many colleges and universities, Cal Poly's application does not require an essay. Prospective students can fill out the general application through Cal State Apply and are then redirected to additional admission criteria based on the schools they are applying to.
Our Location. Cal State Fullerton's campus is about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from downtown Los Angeles and 20 miles (32 kilometers) from nearby beaches.
The minimum Eligibility Index for the program is: 3600 (SAT) or 866 (ACT). The Eligibility Index is the combination of test scores and grade point averages. (Page 8).
Incoming Freshmen Requirements
Incoming Freshmen applicants have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher and a combined minimum score of 1170 on the Evidence Based Reading and Writing and Math sections of the SAT, or a minimum composite ACT score of 26.ACT AND SAT
The CSU does not use the SAT Writing section or the ACT Writing score to calculate the CSU Eligibility Index. Note: CSU campuses will accept old and current SAT scores for admission through 2020. Admission requirements at Cal State Long Beach
Students from Long Beach's local admissions area need an SAT score of at least 800 or an ACT score of at least 17. With an acceptance rate of 48%, admission to Cal State Fullerton is competitive. Based on our analysis, to have a good chance of being admitted, you need to be at the top of your class and have an SAT score of close to 1100, or an ACT score of around 22.

The University of California does not accept pass/fail grades for freshman admission. UC does not limit the number of times a transfer student may repeat a course in which they earned a D or F. A student may not retake a course at a community college to raise a grade received at a UC campus.
UC has a specific way to calculate the grade point average (GPA) it requires for admission. California applicants must earn at least a 3.0 GPA and nonresidents must earn a minimum 3.4 GPA in all A-G or college-preparatory courses to meet this requirement.
UCSB, fairly or not, has probably earned the reputation for being the best party school. UCLA and UC Berkeley have lively campus cultures, big-time sports, and active Greek life. UC Irvine and UC Riverside have more commuter students and the on-campus environments are not quite as lively.
The acceptance rate at UCLA is 14%.
For every 100 applicants, only 14 are admitted. This means the school is extremely selective. Meeting their GPA requirements and SAT/ACT requirements is very important to getting past their first round of filters and proving your academic preparation.With an acceptance rate of 28.8%, admission to UC Irvine is extremely competitive. Based on our analysis, to have a good chance of being admitted, you need to be at the very top of your class and have an SAT score of close to 1510 and an SAT Essay score of 18, or an ACT score of around 34.
The 25th percentile New SAT score is 1270, and the 75th percentile SAT score is 1520. In other words, a 1270 places you below average, while a 1520 will move you up to above average. There's no absolute SAT requirement at UCLA, but they really want to see at least a 1270 to have a chance at being considered.
UC Irvine is a good school. It is not a great school. Top banks, consulting firms and to a lesser extent grad school will not consider you elite (consider a 1 year MS degree). If your goal is to become a teacher or an accountant, UCI is more than good enough.

UCSB requires that all applicants submit SAT scores take the SAT with Essay. UCSB does not require SAT subject tests, but certain programs recommend taking particular tests to satisfy prerequisite requirements or generally strengthen your application.
