MS Word format refers to the document formats developed and used chiefly by Microsoft Word software -- specifically the DOC and DOCX formats.
PNG is fully supported in recent PowerPoint versions. Here's a link to the supported file formats, including the image types you can insert into PowerPoint to place on your slides.
PowerPoint users can embed QuickTime movies on their presentation slides once they install QuickTime on their system. The Apple media player enables the Microsoft application to stream MOV files. Click the “Insert” tab on the application menu and select the “Video” icon.
By default, PowerPoint 2010 and newer versions support the ODP, or OpenDocument Presentation, file format used by OpenOffice Impress and LibreOffice Impress. You can open ODP files just like any normal PowerPoint presentation, though certain types of formatting may not carry over properly to PowerPoint.
Record audio
- Select Insert > Audio.
- Select Record Audio.
- Type in a name for your audio file, select Record, and then speak.
- To review your recording, select Stop and then select Play.
- Select Record to re-record your clip, or select OK if you're satisfied.
Select an audio file to insert
- In Normal view, click the slide that you want to add a sound to.
- On the Insert tab, in the Media group, click the arrow under Audio.
- In the list, click Audio from file or Clip Art audio, locate and select the audio clip that you want, and then click Insert.
PowerPoint cannot play an MPEG file in which the audio and video have been separated - AVI files embed audio and video into the same file. To insert a movie file in a PowerPoint presentation, Click the Insert button and select "Movies and Sounds". Next, select "Movie from File" and browse to your saved AVI file.
Click "Add File" button to open MP4 file that you want to convert. Or just drag and drop MP4 file to the main interface of Faasoft MP4 to PowerPoint Converter. Check your PowerPoint Volume in the System Mixer
Right-click or double click on the speaker icon beside the time (Bottom right) and open the sound "mixer". You should see a volume level associated with the PowerPoint app. Make sure the volume is up and not muted.Open your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and click the first slide in the left Slides panel. Click the "Insert" tab. Click the arrow under "Sound" in the Media Clips section and select "Sound From File." Double-click your music file in the Insert Sound navigation window.
PowerPoint cannot insert a video from the selected file. Verify that the necessary codec for this media format is installed, and then try again. However, the video plays successfully in Windows Media Player.

Solution 1 – Set the Media Compatibility

PowerPoint 2013, 2016, and 2019 are all compatible with most video formats, especially MP4, while WMV is recommended for PowerPoint 2010. You can either drag and drop your video onto a slide or click “Insert” in the ribbon, then on “Video” to select video files from your hard drive.
Insert a Video

- In Normal view, click the video in your slide.
