Mufasa's Last Words. Story Time: Simba climbed from the rocky ledge and into the dust, that was slowly beginning to fade. "Daaaad!" He called into the fading dust.
"Hakuna Matata" is most definitely a wonderful phrase and literally means "no worries" in Swahili. The two unlikely friends show Simba how to survive on his own, and along the way, they teach him their life philosophy: no worries, mate.

Simba”s sidekicks Timon and Pumbaa teach him the Swahili phrase “Hakuna Matata”, which means NO WORRIES FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS. Life is hard, but that doesn”t mean you need to suffer. Happiness is a choice.
He finds sanctuary with his adopted “dads” Timon and Pumbaa, who teach him the phrase “Hakuna Matata” (it means no worries)! Once he comes across his childhood bestie Nala, he is challenged to go back to his home and face Scar.
But of course, Scar is the one who orchestrated the stampede in the first place—and so, after sinking his claws into his brother's paws, the film's villain murmurs four immortal words: “Long live the king.” With that, he pushes Mufasa to plummet to his doom.
(to Simba) It's "You gotta put your past behind you." Look, kid, bad things happen, and you can't do anything about it, right? Simba: Right. Timon: WRONG! "When the world turns its back on you, you turn your back on the world!"
Mufasa : Don't turn your back on me, Scar. Scar : Oh, no Mufasa. Perhaps *you* shouldn't turn your back on *me*.
Hakuna matata. "Hakuna-matata" (pronounced [h?ˈkun? m?ˈt?t?]) is a Swahili language phrase from East Africa, meaning "no trouble" or "no worries" (literally hakuna: "there is no/there are no"; matata: "worries".)
In Swahili, pumbaa (v.) means "to be foolish, silly, weakminded, careless, negligent." Timon is one of the few characters whose name has no meaning in Swahili; Timon is a historical Greek name, taken to mean "he who respects."
Billy Eichner: Timon and Pumbaa are not a couple
Reflecting on the famously close and ambiguously queer-coded relationship between Timon and Pumbaa, Eichner said: “Timon and Pumbaa are different species — I don't even think that's ethically correct, you know, that they would be a couple in some way.means "to be foolish, silly, weakminded, careless, negligent." Timon is one of the few characters whose name has no meaning in Swahili; Timon is a historical Greek name, taken to mean "he who respects." Timon's name may derive from Shakespeare's tragedy Timon of Athens, another Shakespeare reference in a film which
Male lions get their mane completely grown by the time they are 5 years old. Warthogs on the other hand get sexually mature between 18-20 months so we can easily infer that Pumbaa was in fact an adult throughout The Lion King film. An adult female warthog!
Pumbaa is called a "pig" by both Timon and Simba, but he does not react negatively either time, most likely because they are his friends and did not mean it as an insult.
So at the end of the movie (and the start of Simba's Pride) Simba is about 3.5 years old.
"All my old "friends" left me just because of how I smell. But now I have Timon, and I'm livin' a life of Hakuna Matata!"

Before they can do so, King Ahadi, father of Taka and Mufasa, appears with a large herd of animals that surrounds the Buffaloes. It was during this attack that Taka got a scar on his eye, and renamed himself "Scar", as a reminder of his mistake, explaining his cruel name.
Both Timon and Pumbaa taught Simba their feel good philosophy of Hakuna Matata, meaning "no worries" (Lion King 1994); their carefree approach helped Simba put "his past behind" (Lion King 1994) and gradually mature into a carefree lion of intelligence and self-worth.
You know the green jungle paradise where Timon and Pumbaa live, where they introduce Simba to “Hakuna Matata” and eat slimy things for dessert? Well, according to The Lion King 1 ½, it was Timon who found that incredible place.
Lions are massive animals that need a huge amount of protein to survive. Bugs, while a valid protein source, do not offer a great deal per insect. The data has now been crunched, and it appears that Simba would have to eat as many as six grubs per minute (without sleeping) in order to survive. No worries indeed.
They feed on grass roots (and organic matter in the soil), causing sections of grass in the lawn to die. Grubs eventually turn into adult Beetles and emerge from soil to mate and lay eggs, which hatch into more Grubs.
The lions in the The Lion King movie eat various things. This video shows that they eat antelope. We also know that they would eat meerkats & warthogs like in these two videos: They also eat hippos and zebras.
Pumbaa: Slimyyet satisfying.
2) What do Timon and Pumbaa teach Simba to eat? According to Timon, grubs taste like chicken. Slimy, yet satisfying.
