Isaiah 43:1 "Don't fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine." God actually commands us not to fear, or worry. The phrase "fear not" is used at least 80 times in the Bible, most likely because He knows the enemy uses fear to decrease our hope and limit our victories.
The specific passage is Philippians 4:6-7 (New International Version), which states: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
The Bible has so much to say on the goodness of change and God's presence with you every step of the way. "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
Easton's Bible Dictionary defines God's Sovereignty as His "absolute right to do all things according to his own good pleasure." Nave's Topical Bible lists well over 100 verses in the Christian Bible under the entry "Sovereign".
anything that hurts either another person or yourself, or is disrespectful to God. So by this definition, rudeness is a sin only to the degree that someone is hurt by the rudeness. So if someone hurts your feelings a great deal with an insult, that might be a significant sin to you.
Biblical self-control means choosing to give up trying to control things on our own, surrendering to God for help, and working alongside Him for real change.
In monotheistic thought, God is conceived of as the supreme being, creator, and principal object of faith. God has been conceived as either personal or impersonal. In theism, God is the creator and sustainer of the universe, while in deism, God is the creator, but not the sustainer, of the universe.
Here are some ways to relinquish that control and enrich your relationship with God.
- TALK TO HIM. God wants to spend time with you. Spend time talking to Him.
- READ THE BIBLE. When you read scripture, you get to know God.
- LISTEN TO HIM. The Lord speaks to us.
- THANK HIM. The Lord is so good.
God can allow things to happen, yet he doesn't control the weather all the time. He lets Mother Nature be herself.
5) Proverbs 16:9 The Message Behind the VerseLet the Lord direct your steps, for your ability to make decisions, however good it may be, is not always aligned to the Will of God. Let us not lose our strength, trust in the Lord, and He will know how to lead us on the way (Jeremiah 29:11).
Where Do We Find Strength?
- Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
- Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.
- Nehemiah 8:10 Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.â€

Prov. 3 Verses 5 to 6[5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
We can spot a control freak in every walk of life, it's about how to deal with them.
- Spend as little time with them as possible. Firstly, get away from them.
- Use strong body language.
- Remember why they are controlling.
- Practice saying NO.
- Find an ally and sounding board.
- Work on your own self esteem and confidence.
The obsessive-compulsive personality is characterized by a preoccupation with orderliness, perfection, and control of relationships. The individual controls her or his anxiety by shifting it into her or his thinking (obsessive) and then acting it out (compulsion).
What makes a control freak tick? Control freaks tend to have a psychological need to be in charge of things and people around them. The need for control can stem from deeper psychological issues such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders or personality disorders.
Here are several ways to effectively deal with them.
- Identify the type of controlling behavior. There are many ways a person can be unscrupulous.
- Dont believe the lie.
- Recognize the triggers and patterns.
- Carefully choose a response.
- Try, try again until done.
If you are not sure whether you are too controlling, here are some signs that someone might be a control freak.
- You refuse to delegate.
- Everything must be to your schedule or timeline.
- You are a perfectionist.
- You can be grumpy.
- Your expectations might at times feel threatened.
- You micromanage others.
Control freaks rarely know that they are one. They believe that they are helping people with their "constructive criticism" or taking over a project because "no one else will do it right." They don't see their controlling behaviors as symptoms of what's really going on--their own anxiety has run amuck.
A controlling person often won't accept healthy boundaries and will try to persuade or pressure you into changing your mind. If you've said you can't meet up this weekend, they'll show up uninvited to your house. Or they'll refuse to let you leave a party early even after saying you feel sick.
Keep a neutral gaze, expression and tone of voice when speaking with them. Don't let your emotions get the best of you. Make it clear that you're committed to working with them, but let them know your boundaries and that they're non-negotiable.
If you waste a lot of time worrying about things you can't control, here are six things that can help:
- Determine what you can control.
- Focus on your influence.
- Identify your fears.
- Differentiate between ruminating and problem-solving.
- Create a plan to manage your stress.
- Develop healthy affirmations.
God's Control over the Universe (Gen. 1:26-31; Amos 9:1-6) God stays in heaven, controlling and watching man as he carries out God's instructions. As the chief controller, the existence, nourishment and sustenance of the entire creation depend upon God.
