That's what the gospel, The Good News, is really all about. The four gospels that we find in the New Testament, are of course, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

The Gospel of Matthew mainly differs from the other gospels due to its heavily Jewish perspective. He also quotes the Old Testament far more than any of the other gospels. He spends a great deal of time pointing out references from the Torah present in Jesus' teachings.
The PRIMARY similarity is they ALL give different viewpoints on events that took place during Jesus's ministry yet all four are accounts of that ministry. All four Gospels tell the same story of Jesus' ministry, death, and resurrection - the key elements of the Christian faith.
According to both Jewish and Christian Dogma, the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy (the first five books of the Bible and the entirety of the Torah) were all written by Moses in about 1,300 B.C. There are a few issues with this, however, such as the lack of evidence that Moses ever existed
According to the Gospel of Matthew: "As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me", he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him." Also in all three synoptic accounts Jesus is then invited to a banquet, with a crowd of tax collectors and others.

None of them, the Gospel is written many years after crucifixion of Jesus, it anonymous, only named as Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, non of them ever met Jesus, and none of them is written the Gospel. That is, no New Testament writer actually meet Jesus.
The four Gospels are neither histories of the life of Christ nor biographies. They are portraits of the person and work of the long-promised Messiah, Israel's King and the world's Savior. As portraits, they present four different poses of one unique personality.
Differences in meaning
While a disciple is a student, one who learns from a teacher, an apostle is sent to deliver those teachings to others. "Apostle" means messenger, he who is sent. An apostle is sent to deliver or spread those teachings to others.It has traditionally been attributed to St.Matthew the Evangelist, one of the 12 Apostles, described in the text as a tax collector (10:3). The Gospel According to Matthew was composed in Greek, probably sometime after 70 ce, with evident dependence on the earlier Gospel According to Mark.

Far from blaming the demon figure of the Council of Nicaea, Bishop Athanasius, for deciding that only his four chosen gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John – should be the canonical ones, Hill argues that the Emperor Constantine's council was no dastardly cover-up enacted to cement the supremacy of Rome.
Scholars since the 19th century have regarded Mark as the first of the gospels (called the theory of Markan priority). Markan priority led to the belief that Mark must be the most reliable of the gospels, but today there is a large consensus that the author of Mark was not intending to write history.
The Lost Gospels of Jesus is a modern English translation of the most ancient manuscripts uncovered from antiquity. The Canon Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James and the Epistles of John utilize the ancient Codex Sinaiticus along with other ancient sources.
The text's authorship by Thomas the Apostle is rejected by modern scholars. Because of its discovery with the Nag Hammadi library, it was widely thought that the document originated within a school of early Christians, possibly proto-Gnostics.

- Baruch and the Epistle of Jeremy ("Jeremiah" in Geneva) (all part of Vulgate Baruch)
Traditionally, 13 of the 27 books of the New Testament were attributed to Paul the Apostle, who famously converted to Christianity after meeting Jesus on the road to Damascus and wrote a series of letters that helped spread the faith throughout the Mediterranean world.
The Gospel Story In 5 Main Points
- God loves me: God created us special and unique and loves each of us, His children, more than we can even fathom, for eternity.
- But I am a sinner: We are by nature sinful and unclean and deserve condemnation for our sins.
As Feiler himself notes in his earlier book "Walking the Bible," the first place mentioned in Scripture that experts are relatively certain about is Mount Ararat, several chapters after the account of Eden, and that is because it happens to have the same name today.
In his birth, Jesus not only embraced poverty, but also humility. God allowed his son to be born in the humblest of circumstances. God found a dirty stable full of animals to welcome His Son into the world.
