This officially confirms Darth Revan as canon in Star Wars. But beyond just naming Darth Revan, the Visual Dictionary also confirms other Sith Lords as canon as well. The Sith Lords Andeddu, Tanis, Tenebrous, Phobos, and Desolous also had Sith trooper legions named after them.
Yoda was born 104 years after the Ruusan Reformation, which marked the end of the Old Republic. The Knights of the Old Republic games take place 3,000 years before that. So no, Yoda was not born during the Knights of the Old Republic era.
Kotor is much more immersive. Maybe that plays into the "story quality" but I enjoyed kotor's story much more than the class stories of swtor. Some of SWTOR class stories are superb for MMO,but compared to KOTOR they are mediocre at best. NPC characters in KOTOR are better fleshed out,for most part.
Specially the T-shaped visor helmets,i mean they are 95 % identical to the clone trooper helmet which was based on mandalorian design because Jango Fett is a mandalorian. The first is that they want to make the Clone/Stormtrooper style of armor canonically associated with the Old Republic's military forces.
1 Answer. Bane was killed by his apprentice, Darth Zannah in 988BBY on the planet Ambria. She used a mixture of lightsaber skills (though she lost her weapon to Bane before his ultimate defeat), Dark Side force tendrils and some kind of mind-fogging power on him.
It is CURRENTLY completely non-canon, but a lot of Legends material has been re-canonized over the last few years.
KotOR is definitely worth playing for the story alone. I generally only like shooter video games and I don't like the gameplay if KOTOR but I have sunk over 30 hours into the first one alone. If you like Star Wars that much I am fairly confident that you will like KOTOR.
KotOR and SWTOR are not the same game. KotOR was a single player game, which meant that game balance wasn't really a major concern. SWTOR is *not* a single player game; players are directly competing with each other, in PvP by trying to kill one another and in PvE by eking out better numbers than one another.
In KOTOR you play as Revan after he's been captured and memory wiped by the Jedi. KOTOR is just another of the Star Wars, but KOTOR 2 is a meditation on that war, five years later.
The difference between the two games is apparent in their basic premises. KOTOR 1 is about a galactic war you're trying to end, and KOTOR 2 doesn't even have a war.
So the basic gist is that Revan physically died when the imperial strike team “killed” him. However, his “dark side” self refused to become one with the force and split himself into two personalities, the dark side physical revan and a light revan spirit. The light revan believes that he should have died long before.
In 2019, how much (if anything) of KOTOR is canon. Overall, nothing. Some elements, like the HK droids, Hammerhead cruisers, Czerka corporation, Valley of the Dark Lords, Malachor etc. survive, albeit ripped out of their timeline and inserted into elsewhere.
Revan is popular for a couple of reasons. He is a very complex interesting character, his story of light and dark, his rise to galactic hero, fall to the Sith and his redemption and rise back to once again be a hero of the republic. It's a very compelling story arc and gives ample opportunity to show his humanity.
This is only made known to the player late in the game, prior to which the playable protagonist lacks any predefined identity and Darth Revan is believed to be dead.
| Revan |

| Species | Human |
| Occupation | Jedi Master, Dark Lord of the Sith (formerly) |
In Legends, Revan was a Jedi who served in the Mandalorian Wars as the Supreme Commander of Jedi and Galactic Republic forces and fell to the dark side of the Force. He was reborn as Darth Revan and, along with his Padawan-turned-Sith apprentice Darth Malak, wreaked havoc on the Republic.
Darth was a title given to the Dark Lords of the Sith Order, which preceded a moniker different from the birth name. It roughly translated to "Dark Lord." The Sith names of Sheev Palpatine, Count Dooku, and Anakin Skywalker were Darth Sidious, Darth Tyranus, and Darth Vader, respectively.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker introduces new characters into Star Wars, but it also makes Knights of the Old Republic's Darth Revan canon. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker officially made Darth Revan, along with a group of other ancient Sith Lords, part of Star Wars canon.
1. Master Yoda. Topping our list is Master Yoda, the Grand Master of the Jedi Order before and during the Clone Wars. Adept in many skills of the Force both common and rare, he was considered to be one of the most skilled Jedi in the history of the Order.
Revan dons the Mandalorian mask and vows to defeat the Mandalorians. During the early battles of the Mandalorian Wars, this mask was worn by a Mandalorian female who was present during the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders' devastation of the Outer Rim world Cathar.
He was reborn as Darth Revan and, along with his Padawan-turned-Sith apprentice Darth Malak, wreaked havoc on the Republic. Eventually, Revan was captured by a Jedi strike team and was severely injured in the battle. Taking advantage of this, the Jedi Order wiped Revan's memory and gave him a new identity.
There's not actual romances in KotOR II. You crew members are oddly obsessed with your main character and it's explained well in the game. Fully aware of that.
Combat is turn-based, but it's amazingly well done in that it gives off the illusion of being in real time (the lightsaber and melee fighting animations look incredible), and you can almost play it like real-time combat occasionally pausing if you prefer. For KotoR 2, definitely get that on the PC.
KOTOR 2 is an unfinished game. By the time you reach Malachor V, everything is petering out. The signs were there from the start: cut content, loot randomly generated rather than placed by hand and oh-so-many bugs. The ending violates the “show, don't tell” rule so hard you can almost hear the money running out.
Is Darth Nihilus in Disney Canon? Nope. He's EU canon, though.
Meetra Surik, also known as the Jedi Exile after the Mandalorian Wars, was a female Human Jedi Master. Surik joined Revan in his mission to kill the Sith Emperor, who had been plotting an invasion of the Republic for centuries.
Bastila Shan:
1: She was born "roughly 10 years after" Meetra Surik. 2: Her latest possible birthdate is roughly 3979 BBY. Who developed Kotor?
