Beautiful clean beach and small boardwalk. Cute little boardwalk with some nice shops. It costs $2.50 to park for an hour. Lots of little food shops also.
Parking is free the remainder of the year. Our 1,000 public parking spaces are all within two blocks of the beach. In the summer on Saturdays and Sundays, all parking spaces fill by about 10:30 AM.

This sandy beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean in the town of Bethany Beach, one of three towns together known as "The Quiet Resorts". This public beach has lifeguards on duty. The swimming area is between the orange flags. Bethany Beach is sampled weekly from May 27th to September 24th.

In the end, Dewey Beach is just another barrier island-boardwalk type of town (although without an actual boardwalk). But it does have its unique advantages, providing a great party scene for the younger set, excellent beaches and cheap dining for the older set, and the recreational gem of Rehoboth Bay.
