Software updates, whether operating system or device manufacturers are normally legit. That does not mean you should immediately download one as soon as you get them. There are many reasons not to do this. Even the "Good Guys" can cause problems unintentionally (as well as intentionally).
Shrey Garg, an Android developer from Pune, says that in certain cases phones do get slow after software updates. While we as consumers update our phones (to get the most out of the hardware) and expect better performance from our phones, we end up slowing our phones.
System updates usually take around 20-30 minutes, depending on how major they are. It shouldn't take hours. after the software update loading screen it went into system recovery.

So if you own either of the three devices from 2018 and want to experience Android 11 with Samsung's latest One UI skin, your wish has been granted – albeit unofficially. A full port of the Galaxy M31's One UI 3.1 firmware is now available for the Galaxy A7, A8, and A8 Plus.
Google has released its latest big update called Android 11 “Râ€, which is rolling out now to the firm's Pixel devices, and to smartphones from a handful of third-party manufacturers.
Data means any contacts, images, applications, video files, music, text messages etc. If the user upgrades the firmware using FOTA or KIES the data will remain untouched in your Samsung Smartphones.

The Galaxy M10 has received two major Android OS updates—Android 9 (with One UI) and Android 10 (with One UI 2)—since its launch, but it will not receive the Android 11 update.
Updating your Android.
- Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Open Settings.
- Select About Phone.
- Tap Check for Updates. If an update is available, an Update button will appear. Tap it.
- Install. Depending on the OS, you'll see Install Now, Reboot and install, or Install System Software. Tap it.
The update, dubbed Android 12L, will be available early next year, Google said in a blog post Wednesday. Android 12L will include improvements to the user interface on large screens across "notifications, quick settings, lock screen, overview, home screen, and more," Google said in the post.

- Go to Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Software update.
- Tap Download and install.
- Follow the steps to install the update if one is available. If not, it will say your phone is up to date.
