Nottingham [15] is a city in England, affectionately known as the "Queen of the Midlands". It is famed for its links with the world-renowned legend Robin Hood and has a wealth of history, with a settlement existing in the area since pre-Roman times.

Beeston is a nice area with decent local pubs and easy access to shopping. there's also good public transport into the city by bus, with the tram opening later this year. there will be more students than other areas, but it trends to be more post graduates and quieter students.
Hucknall is a large town with its own good and bad areas – it has a mixed reputation but on the whole I can think of far worse places to live in Nottingham. Linby is close by (if you can afford it!) is a very pretty village but to be honest houses do not come up for sale very often. I also like Papplewick.
“Long Eaton offers a peaceful market town setting just a short distance from the East Midlands' largest cities. This makes it an extremely popular place to live, both with commuters and families. With demand high, it is also a shrewd place to invest, as landlords stand to enjoy an excellent return.
Other places with a high crime rate include Radford (3,785 incidents) Hucknall (3,744) Bulwell (3,598) and Clifton (3,334). Despite its past reputation, The Meadows is one of the safest places to live, with 1,677 recorded incidents.
Radford and Forest Fields are also areas to avoid at night. Tourists are generally safe visiting the city, but should avoid these areas of Nottingham as a precaution.
