While 4G LTE is a major improvement over 3G speeds, it is technically not 4G. However, most cellular carriers now advertise their networks as 4G LTE, because it sounds the same as 4G (or even better). In some cases, your phone may even display 4G LTE-A (Long Term Evolution Advanced), which is even closer to proper 4G.

Yes! Now it's working on all the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Well, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 have VoLTE feature in hardware not by software till 2017. Samsung just released an update for Galaxy Note 4 with a build date April/2018 in which VoLTE is enabled by default.
First, swipe up on the home screen and tap on the Settings icon, and then tap on the Network & Internet selection. You should then tap on the Mobile Network menu, and then tap on the Advanced option. Finally, tap on the LTE selection for 4G access.
Unfortunately, the ability to access the 4G network depends on your phone's capability. So, if you have a 3G phone, you won't have access to the 4G network. On the CDMA network, a 3G phone can access the 3G network, a 4G phone can access the regular 4G network and an LTE phone can access the 4G LTE network.
4G uses a lot more power especially when it has to struggle to maintain it. Note that this doesn't work if the 4G signal is non existent in that particular area. Depending on which device/ Operating System you have; Go to settings, Mobile settings, Network Mode, Select 4G only instead of 4G/3G.
If it shows H+ It is meant that the current network is a 3G network. Note : If network would be 4G or 3G it would be shown in Notification bar.
To speed up the Internet speed on your Android phone, there are a number of things you can do:
- Install performance-enhancing apps to remove any clutter on your phone.
- Check your network settings and make sure you're on the best connection possible.
- Remove unnecessary widgets and apps running in the background.
- Dial *#*#4636#*#* in your phone.
- Select Phone Information.
- If you have Dual SIM Select the Slot (SIM) you want change settings for.
- Scroll Down and select the Option Under “Set preferred network type”
- From here Select the Network Mode you wish to use, in your case “LTE only “
- Enjoy forced LTE only feature.
To do this go to Settings – More Networks – Mobile Networks – Network Mode. Make sure to tap on LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect). Make sure that the mobile data switch is on. If the 4G signal is stable in this mode then an app you downloaded could be causing this problem.
