One of the Apostles of the Lord who is well known for the revelations he recorded is John the Revelator, also known as John the Beloved. Both became Apostles. As such, John was a witness of Jesus Christ. He was at Gethsemane and at the Savior's crucifixion.

James (the elder son of Zebedee, brother of John) was beheaded at Jerusalem. James (one of Jesus' brothers, also called James the Less) was thrown from a pinnacle of the Temple, and then beaten to death with a club. Thaddeus (one of Jesus' brothers, also called Jude) was shot to death with arrows.
