Nike. Nike is pretty well-known for running small, particularly their shoes. Unless you have narrow feet, you will almost certainly want to order a size larger. Those with particularly wide feet may need to go up 1 ½ sizes.
From the few things I've bought: the size charts they use are pretty accurate. Though I have only bought stuff from the petite section. In my experience Asos is more true sizing without the vanity sizing a lot of American brands. I've found their jumpers can be quite big, and I usually have to size down.
2 Answers. This is a common retail clothing term. The phrase "run small" in this context means that they tend to be smaller than most brands with the same label size. When this occurs, the phrase "runs small" is used to express that Levi's jeans tend to be smaller than most brands with the same labeled size.
What it does mean is that if that brands sizing chart says that for a size 4 dress that the bust is going to be 34 inches and the waist is going to be 26 1/2 then it will be EXACTLY that size. So when asking if something is true to size-you are asking about their measurement chart-and not what size you typically wear.
Jeans sizes in the US are based on the waist/length ratio, given in inches (in). For example, a male with the jeans waist size of 28 in and leg length of 30 in will have a jeans size of 28/30. We can also use the standard S/M/L sizes, or the simple numerical value (30-50 for men, 0-30 for women).
Brands: The ASOS “Curve and Plus Size” portion of the store carries several brands. The ASOS Curve brand items are the most generously sized, in my experience. So just because you're an 18 in ASOS Curve doesn't mean you can wear an 18 in New Look, their products are going to run smaller.
