Sylvan Beach is one of the most popular Bribie Island beaches due to its safe swimming and family friendly features such as picnic and barbeque areas, playgrounds and toilets. There's a boat ramp if you want to bring your own or hire a boat and explore the island by sea.
Bribie Island is a glorious sand island that shelters the northern parts of Moreton Bay. Once past the deep soft sand, there is an incredible stretch of beach that avid four-wheel-drivers can enjoy driving along.
Bribie Island, island off the southeastern coast of Queensland, Australia, at the northern extremity of Moreton Bay. The island is 20 miles (32 km) long and from 1 to 5 miles wide and has an area of 59 square miles (153 square km).
A vehicle access permit must be obtained before driving on Bribie Island, K'gari (Fraser Island), Mulgumpin (Moreton Island), Cooloola and Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) recreation areas—fees apply. All vehicles must be registered and have a valid permit.

NP&WS recommend that driving on the ocean beach be avoided for two (2) hours either side of high tide. Tidal information is available free from the Bribie Island Visitor Information Centre. The lagoons and creeks on the eastern side can overflow across the beach after heavy rain.
Bribie Island is the Moreton Bay region's most accessible island. With a laid back attitude, it is a perfect location for a lazy weekend. It also has a great little 8 km beach walk that takes you from the west side of the island over to the seaward side. This is an easy walk along a beach.
Bribie Island is a 34kms long sand island and 8km at its widest. Although it's the smallest Moreton Bay Island, Bribie Island is Queensland's only island to be connected to the mainland by a bridge.
National Park and Recreation areaBribie Island offers wonderful sights to the nature lovers. the spring wildflowers attract many tourists and the place also offers the adventures like boating, fishing, and camping. In Bribie Island, there are seven recreation areas managed by Queensland Park.
Firstly, YES, dogs, in general, are allowed on Bribie Island – even though it's an island it is still home to residents, businesses and you guessed it, dogs! There are however certain beaches on Bribie Island where dogs can only go whilst on a leash.
The ocean side of Bribie Island offers wonderful opportunities for surf fishing. Woorim has summer and winter whiting, dart and bream. Just south of Woorim, Skirmish Point is popular for surf fishing and easily accessible. North of Woorim is the 4WD beach access point.
Moreton Island is 40 km offshore from Brisbane. The island can be reached by ferry, barge or boat. Barges and ferries for vehicles and passengers run daily. If you are not taking a vehicle, choose your island destination point and book the ferry or barge from the corresponding departure point.
The severe weather system causing flash-flooding around the south east is also responsible for pounding surf, breaking through the tip of Bribie Island.
The 2020 Estimated Resident Population for Bribie Island is 20,252, with a population density of 188.0 persons per square km.

Although Caboolture is a nice place, if you want a more rural feel, some nice neighbouring towns such as Elimbah, Wamuran and Pumicestone could be more suited to you. Overall, Caboolture is not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. There are lots of things to do other than getting drunk and partying all night.
