The cliff sensors are located in the four rectangular openings located just inside the edge of the bumper. Make sure the cliff sensors are clean and free of debris. Generously blow out the cliff sensors on the front bumper with compressed air or wipe them with a melamine foam if compressed air is not available.
iRobot Roomba vacuums can operate even with simple ambient light, but not in total darkness. The Roomba does not do well in darkness. As a matter of fact, even low light can make it get lost. It's not hard to turn on a light or so -- doesn't have to be full bright.

Running the Roomba once or twice a week should be enough to keep their home clean. But the battery will benefit from running at least three times a week.

Watch the Roomba return to its home base charging station automatically. Once the Roomba returns to home base, the cleaning cycle has been completed and your floor has been vacuumed.
The Roomba 675 features Wi-Fi connectivity, and it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. It also has iRobot's intelligent navigation (but not floor mapping) that allows it to navigate under and around furniture and along floor edges.

Error 14 or 1-4 means Roomba is not detecting an installed bin. Please check the bin contacts: Confirm that the bin is installed properly. Wipe the bin contacts on both the bin and robot with a clean, lightly dampened melamine foam such as a magic eraser.
- Step 1 Front Sensor.
- FIip the device over and unscrew the side brush screw using the Phillips #2 screwdriver.
- Unscrew the (4) four back plate screws using the Phillips #2 screwdriver.

- Flip the device over and lift the front bumper up and off.
NOTE: If the low charge light is blinking red, there is not enough charge for the robot to return to the dock. Manually place the robot on the dock, leaving a half-inch space between the front of the robot and the face of the dock.
In most cases, yes, a robotic vacuum can clean dark floors without an issue. This is because the sensors don't look at the floor; they focus on the walls or any other vertical objects to avoid bumpers. For instance, some Roomba robot vacuums (specifically Roomba 570) refuse to run on black or dark-colored surfaces.
Robot vacuums are tops when it comes to keeping your floors clean, but they need more help than you might think. It's been about six weeks since our family (finally) coughed up the cash for our very first robot vacuum, and I can honestly say that it was worth every penny.
Roomba robot vacuums do not need Wi-Fi to clean your Home. You can simply Push CLEAN on the robot and the robot will get to work. It is important to remember the robot must start on the Home Base for it to return home.
Steps to follow
- Turn on your Roomba by pressing the button "Clean"
- Keep pressed during 10 seconds the buttons "Spot" and "Dock" that are placed above and under the button "Clean"
- Release the buttons at the same time and you will hear the typical sound of beginning of the Roomba.

Located in the middle of the app, just press CLEAN for your robot to get to work. Pressing the CLEAN button and then pressing "Send Home" sends your robot back to the Home Base®.
