- Step 2: Drain and rinse your sprouts.
- Step 3: Rinse, drain, repeat.
- Step 4: Harvest, store, and use your sprouts!
Generally, most sprouts require rinsing two or three times a day. While we're no fans of wasting water, healthy sprouts require a liberal use of water to keep moisture levels up, and to remove any bacteria build-up. Besides, all plants require water to grow healthy and tasty, and sprouts are no different.

As long as you remember to water and drain your sprouts 3 times/day, they should be ready to eat in 2 days. You'll know they're ready because they'll have grown a teensy little tail -- and they taste almost sweet when they're at their best, with no bitter aftertaste.
Sprouts can grow from the seeds of vegetables such as broccoli and radish, from grains such as alfalfa and buckwheat, and from beans such as lentils and soybeans. These sprouts vary in texture and taste.

Sprouts are rich in a number of important nutrients. While the specific ratio of nutrients varies depending on the type of sprout, they generally contain high levels of folate, magnesium, phosphorus, and vitamin K. In fact, they have higher amounts of these nutrients than fully-grown versions of the same plants.
One easy way to make seeds germinate faster is to presoak them for 24 hours in a shallow container filled with hot tap water. Water will penetrate the seed coat and cause the embryos inside to plump up. Don't soak them for longer than 24 hours because they could rot. Plant the seeds immediately in moist soil.
They are of various types like the bean sprouts, pea sprouts, vegetable sprouts, nuts and seeds sprouts, etc. All of them can be consumed on a weight loss diet. The sprouts are very high in nutrients due to the sprouting process.
