The Peloton works with Fitbit and Strava as well. Pair your Fitbit account with your Peloton account to have your workouts automatically logged on your Fitbit app.
So can Peloton instructors see you? Simply put, Peloton instructors can't see you when you're riding their classes! If you're concerned about your privacy though in general, you might want to explore your profile settings so you're in control of who can see what.
If you are logged into your Peloton account in the Peloton app, do this:
- Tap on the "More" button on the bottom right of the screen.
- Tap on the "About" button.
- Tap quickly and repeatedly at the bottom right of the "About" window that opens up.
- A new window should open up showing several apps.
Peloton gives you no choice but to work out. The practice of jailbreaking cycles is relatively niche, but it illustrates how people are finding ways to use products outside the traditional business model of Peloton, which relies on subscribers paying to use the services that the cycles' tablets are intended for.

Cast Peloton Bike/Tread Display to Chromecast.It's super-easy to cast the in-built display of your Peloton Tread/Bike to a larger screen using Chromecast. Select the Chromecast/Airplay icon on the bottom right of the screen. You can then select the TV you would like to stream your workout.
Without that monthly membership, the bike's functionality is seriously limited. Another potential annoyance is that you can't pause any of the rides, either live or on-demand; if you have to get up, they keep running without you.
The Echelon Connect EX3 costs significantly less than a Peloton bike, but gives you essentially the same experience. Echelon is a direct Peloton competitor, and the company's Connect EX series of bikes has a starting price of $840.
You need special shoes to ride.The pedals are compatible with LOOK Delta cleats. If you buy your shoes from Peloton, that'll cost you another $125. You can wear your own sneakers instead, but the company's website recommends attaching toe cages to the pedals if you want to do that.
When just starting out, committing to exercising at all can feel impossible, let alone exercising for 30 or 60 minutes every day. That's why Peloton Members agree that starting with 15- and 20-minute rides is the best way to form a daily habit.

Family SharingNow everyone who has access to your Peloton bike can have access to your app! You can now even add additional new users to your account directly from the app, just like you would on the bike.
While the Switch doesn't support Netflix, it does offer other video streaming services, both paid and free, through the Nintendo eShop.
Throughout the month of January, wait times in the US for all Peloton products simply stated “10+ weeks”. Over February, and continuing through this week, Peloton has been able to start lowering the wait times, starting from “8-10 weeks” for the Peloton Bike, with it reaching a range of “4-9 weeks” today.

Some potential good news for those working out from home. Peloton has announced its app is now available on Android TV. That means you can stream workouts from compatible televisions from Samsung, LG, Sony and others, as well as from set-top boxes from Sharp, JBL, NVIDIA (Shield), AT&T and others.

The reason is that the Peloton Bikes contain not only a network connection, but also a camera and a microphone. The camera and microphone are intended to be able to do a workout with a friend, akin to Facetime or such, though in reality very few people tend to use them.
