So whatever unwanted items you find hiding at the back of your wardrobe, they're most likely worth selling on Depop. As the Depop app is free to download and there's no fee to list items for sale, however when you've made a sale Depop will take a 10% commission (including shipping costs).
It's good if you know what's trendy or what kind of items Depop tends to hype up. It's also good for items like a vintage shirt with a cool print from an unknown brand, for example, that people wouldn't really search for on eBay but just stumble onto on Depop and impulse buy.
Tips for successful selling and follower increase on Depop

- Don't post anything dirty or stuff like used make up or used swimsuits or bras.

If for any reason you have a negative balance in your PayPal account when you buy or sell something on Depop, you get charged the sum due to Depop for that transaction plus the pending negative balance you owe to PayPal (which might or might not be related to Depop).

You'll get a full refund if the seller hasn't sent your item. If the seller doesn't get back to you or the item has not been shipped after 7 days, please report in app by going to: Profile > Settings > Need help? > Buying > My purchase > Select your issue there.
Using PayPal's goods and services payment method is your best bet and above all it offers you buyer protection. You're covered if the seller sends you the wrong item or never sends it at all. PayPal guarantees you a refund on the cost plus the shipping fee you paid.
Re: Scammed through Depop
Paypal give the seller 10 days to provide a tracking number that proves delivery of the item to you and if not then you should get your refund, if the seller does not refund then paypal does under their buyer protection scheme.Here are our tips for selling on Depop.

- Agree a fair value for the items you're swapping.
- Both you and the 'swapper' list your items to swap for the same price.
- Buy each other's items using the 'Buy' button.
- Bid farewell to your item and send your swap off in the post.
To find and follow users that actually make purchases on Depop, and who may be interested in your items, follow these steps:
- Search for a keyword that describes at least some of your items.
- Click on the posts that pop up until you find one from a seller with a lot of reviews from buyers.
- Follow each of these buyers.
Generally, you never have to charge more than $11 shipping unless you're shipping a bundle (more than one item). Always triple check that you're mailing the right item to the right person, and verify that the buyer's address on Depop is the same as the one listed on their Paypal.
Poshmark is way better than both platforms. Although Depop is good for getting rid of odds and ends by branding them as ~vintage~ I've had things sit on Poshmark that sell very quickly on Depop but overall I like the Seller Interface much more on Poshmark than Depop.
You are charged fees for the items you sell, but don't receive the features eBay offers nor do you receive seller support. Between eBay and Depop, eBay is clearly the better choice. That said, there are many other marketplaces out there.
