Reading NAS data on Windows
- Pull the disks out of the NAS.
- Connect the disks to the Windows PC directly using SATA cables.
- Download, install, and launch ReclaiMe File Recovery.
- Select your NAS volume and click Start.
- Wait till the software completes the analysis and copy the recovered NAS data to prepared storage.
You can install Qfile from the Google Play Store for Android or the App Store for iOS devices.
You can add a NAS manually, use Qfile to automatically search available NAS devices on the network, or sign in using your QNAP ID.
- Open Qfile.
- Tap .
- Tap Manage NAS.
- Tap Add a NAS.
- Log in using one of the following options.

Upload files to your NAS
- Choose the destination folder from the left bar.
- Select “ †and choose to upload files or folders.
- After that, you will be prompted on how to deal with files with identical names in the destination folder:
- The files will then be uploaded to the NAS.
Select the “homes†directory and click the “Settings†icon ( ) on the top right. Then enable the option “Show hidden filesâ€. You can find each user's Qsync files under the “.Qsync†folder.
Go to “Settings†> “General†> “VPNâ€. Choose “Add VPN Configuration…â€. Choose “PPTP†and name your connection in “Descriptionâ€, before entering the myQNAPcloud name or IP address in “Serverâ€, and then your QNAP NAS username and password. Go to “Settings†> “General†> “VPN†to start the VPN connection.

- Click File Station from the desktop or from the main menu.
- Select the file or folder that you want to share.
- On the toolbar, click Share ( ) and then select Create share link only. The Share screen appears.
- Configure the following settings. Field. Task. Link Name.
- Click Create Now.

To delete application level log files: Right-click the application, and select Delete Log.
A log file is a computer-generated data file that contains information about usage patterns, activities, and operations within an operating system, application, server or another device.
Solution 1: Remove User Log FilesStep 1: Open Finder and select Go to Folder in the Go menu. Step 3: Select individual log files, then right-click and select Move to Trash. Step 4: Go inside each sub-folders within the Logs folder and remove the system log files found there. Step 5: Restart Mac.
Log files are a journal of system parameters and entries describing everything that takes place on your Mac. Any operation that is being performed is noted down in the form of logs, much like a “black box†on an airplane. For the most part, log files contain crash reports and app errors.

If you'd just like to clean up your Mac's system logs, click on the System Junk module after clicking scan, click Review Details, and then deselect all the other junk files CleanMyMac X found except System Logs. After that, simply click Clean to clear the system logs.
To view your Mac system logs, launch the Console app. You can launch it with Spotlight search by pressing Command+Space, typing “Console,†and then pressing Enter. You'll also find it at Finder > Applications > Utilities > Console.
Connection logging enabled means that you can look at the logs. To turn it off, go to Window, then Connection Doctor, and uncheck the box. "While the Activity window provides a real-time look at what's occurring as you send or receive mail, the Mail logs go one step further and keep a record of each event.
Locate a log file using Console on Mac
- In the Console app on your Mac, select Log Reports in the sidebar. If the Log Reports category isn't visible, click the Sidebar button .
- Select the file you want to locate, then choose File > Reveal in Finder. A Finder window appears with the log file selected.
