To pair your headset with an Android or iOS device using Bluetooth
- Make sure that your headset is fully charged and turned on.
- On the Android or iOS device, make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
- Long press. for approximately 7 seconds.
- Scan for available Bluetooth devices on the Android or iOS device, then select SBH24.
To increase the volume: Swipe up repeatedly until the volume reaches the desired level. To decrease the volume: Swipe down repeatedly until the volume reaches the desired level. If you hold your finger to the touch sensor control panel after swiping up or down, the volume continues to change.
The headset enters pairing mode automatically. When you pair a 2nd or subsequent device (the headset has pairing information for other devices), press and hold the button for about 7 seconds. Check that the blue indicator repeatedly flashes 2 times in a row. You will hear a voice guidance “Bluetooth pairing”.
While wearing the headphones, tap the touch sensor until you hear Noise canceling. In the default setting, tap the touch sensor to change the Ambient Sound Control function. If your headphones don't switch to the Noise canceling function, try tapping one time quickly (about 0.3 seconds).

- Unlock the screen of the Android smartphone if it is locked.
- Turn on the headset. Press and hold the button for about 2 seconds.
- Display the devices paired with the smartphone. Select [Setting] - [Bluetooth].
- Touch [MDR-XB70BT]. You hear voice guidance “BLUETOOTH connected”.
Turn off the headset, then press and hold the POWER and / buttons simultaneously for more than 7 seconds. The indicator (blue) flashes 4 times, and the headset is reset to the factory settings. All pairing information is deleted.
Press and hold the button on the left unit for about 7 seconds until the indicator flashes blue and red alternately. Make sure that the indicator flashes blue and red alternately after you release the button. You hear voice guidance “BLUETOOTH pairing”. The headset goes into the pairing mode.

Resetting the headset. If the headset cannot be turned on, or if it cannot be operated even when it is turned on, reset the headset. During charging, press and hold both the L and R side buttons simultaneously for 7 seconds or more. The indicator (red) turns off once, then the headset is reset.

Click the [Start] button, then [Settings]. Click [Devices]. Click the [Bluetooth] tab, then click the [Bluetooth] button to turn on the Bluetooth function. Select [WH-1000XM3], then click [Pair].
Pair Your Headphones or Speaker to the Computer
- On your device, press the POWER button to enter pairing mode.
- On the computer, press the Windows Key.
- Click Settings.
- Click Devices.
- Click Bluetooth & other devices and then click on the slider under Bluetooth to turn the Bluetooth On.
Turn on the
headset. Press and hold the button for about 2 seconds. Make sure that the indicator (blue) flashes after you release the button.
Select the headset using the computer.
- Right-click the volume icon on the windows toolbar, then click [Playback devices].
- Right-click [MDR-1000X].
- Click [Connect].
If you can't connect your headphones or speakers to a mobile device, it's possible a Bluetooth® connection is already made with the mobile device, or the Bluetooth pairing isn't set correctly. You may need to disconnect or unpair the connected mobile device in order to pair the new mobile device.
When you pair a second or subsequent device (if the headset has pairing information for other devices), put the headset in both ears, then hold your fingers to the touch sensors on both the left and right units for about 7 seconds. You will hear voice guidance “Bluetooth pairing” from the left unit.
