Cloud Print, Google's cloud-based printing solution that has been in beta since 2010, will no longer be supported as of December 31, 2020. Beginning January 1, 2021, devices across all operating systems will no longer be able to print using Google Cloud Print.
Planned discontinuationAnnounced by Google in November 2019, Google Cloud Print will no longer be supported after December 31, 2020. Google cited improvements in native Chrome OS printing as well as a marketplace of other print solutions providers in its decision to terminate the service.
Install Google Cloud Print for WindowsEnter your Windows administrator username and password. Click Register. In the window that opens, sign in to your Google Workspace account. Click Add Printers and leave the browser window open.
Make sure your phone and your printer are on the same Wi-Fi network. Next, open the app you want to print from and find the print option, which may be under Share, Print or Other Options. Tap Print or the printer icon and select Choose an AirPrint-Enabled Printer.
Any document you send for printing is kept strictly confidential. You can view and edit your history through the Google Cloud Print dashboard. You can also manage printers on the dashboard.

Print from an Android device
- Open the page you want to print in its app.
- From the app's menu, select Share .
- Tap Google Cloud Print.
We recommend that you make your own backup or print out your fax and network data and settings.
- Press the home button, if necessary.
- Select Setup.
- Select Network Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi Setup.
- Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard.
- Select the name of your wireless network or enter the name manually.
Print a webpage from Chrome.
- From the Chrome browser, open the webpage you want to print.
- Click the Chrome menu icon , and then select Print from the drop-down menu.
- Under Destination, click the Change button.
- Under Print Destinations, select your printer.
- Change any print settings if necessary, and then click Print.
How to set up your printer on your Android device.
- To begin, go to SETTINGS, and look for the SEARCH icon.
- Enter PRINTING in the serch field and hit the ENTER key.
- Tap on the PRINTING option.
- You will then be given the opportunity to turn toggle on “Default Print Services”.

- Within two minutes, press and hold the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on the router until the connection process begins.
Causes of the Google Cloud Print Offline ErrorThere also might be a misconfiguration in the way Google Cloud Print is set up. If you use a printer that's not Google cloud-ready, the desktop machine could be powered off or disconnected from the internet. The printer may also need a firmware update.

Turn on Web Services:
- Touchscreen displays: On the printer, touch or press the HP ePrint button or icon .
- Text-based displays: On the printer, navigate to Web Services Setup, Network Setup, or Wireless Settings, and then follow the on-screen instructions to turn on Web Services.
Ensure your device is selected and click "Add printers." This will add your printer to your Google Cloud Print account. Download the Cloud Print app on your Android device. This will allow you to access your Google Cloud Print printers from your Android. You can download it for free from the Google Play Store.
Print from a standard printer
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- Open the page, image or file that you want to print.
- Click File. Print. Or, use a keyboard shortcut: Windows & Linux: Ctrl + p. Mac: ? + p.
- In the window that appears, select the destination and change your preferred print settings.
- Click Print.

You can print from your Chromebook using most printers that connect to Wi-Fi or a wired network. Currently, Chromebooks don't support Bluetooth printing. Tips: You can also use a USB cable to connect your printer to your Chromebook.
