Solution 1 – Use built-in Windows 10 Alarms & Clock featureClick on the Search icon – located near the Windows Start button (usually, it's the Cortana icon). In the search field type alarms. Click on the Alarms & Clock result. This should take you to the Windows 10 built-in alarm app.
Alarms & Clock (originally known as Clock & Alarms on Pocket PC 2000 and Alarms on Windows 8.1) is a time management application included with Windows and Windows 10 Mobile with four key features: alarms, world clocks, timers, and a stopwatch.
Alarms that you set will sound even if computer goes to sleep. While your PC is sleeping and the time comes to activate your alarm, Free Alarm Clock will wake your PC up.
To set the alarm, I used a program called Free Alarm Clock for Windows. Just Google Alarm Clock for Mac. If you are not going to use the screensaver, you can just set the alarm and leave the laptop on or you can look online for tutorials to set it while leaving the laptop on sleep mode.
Whether for waking up in the morning or taking a quick nap, the Google Home functions as a great alarm clock. Keeping in mind that Google Home alarms are still quite basic, they're very easy to set up and use. Just say, "OK, Google, set an alarm for 7 a.m.," or, "OK, Google, set an alarm for 25 minutes from now."
Timers are another welcome addition to Windows. In the “Alarms & Clock” app, switch to the “Timer” tab. Here, you can see any timers you've already set up (or a default timer if it's the first time you've visited the app). Click the “Play” button to start a timer.
Try this:
- Go to Settings > Personalization > Sounds.
- On the left hand side of the screen, under Personalization, select THEMES.
- In the middle of the screen, select Related Settings > Advanced Sound Settings.
- This opens up the traditional Windows Sound dialog box used in earlier versions of windows.
Three of the preinstalled Windows 10 apps are considered essential system utilities and can't be removed. Nor should you try. The Microsoft Store manages apps, and the App Installer utility is a system component that allows Windows 10 to install packaged apps directly.
