Making payments to employees who have a Mukuru Card is as simple as doing an EFT. Each Mukuru Card comes with its own Mukuru Money Number provided by Access Bank (). This means you can use your online banking portal or any payroll system to make payments directly to your employees.
Recipients with a Mukuru card can get money transferred to their card anytime, 24/7 – 7 days a week. We will send a sms notification and email to both the sender and recipient informing you of the status of the transaction. This transfer will take up to 24 hours.

Send money to a registered customer
- Dial *111# to access My phone menu.
- Select option 4.
- Select option 2.
- Choose option 1.
- Enter Cell number of the person you wish to send money.
- Enter Amount you wish to send.
- Enter payment reference of your choice, e.g. your name.
- Enter your 4 digit PIN.
Essentially, EFT (electronic fund transfer) is used to move money from one account to another. The transaction is completed electronically, and the two accounts can be at the same financial institution or different financial institutions. However, the term “EFT” doesn't refer to a specific type of payment.
