As part of the program, you may trade-in an eligible voucher in your account for Groupon Bucks equal to the amount paid for the voucher or another amount specified by Groupon. Subject to the program terms outlined below, you can then use these Groupon Bucks to purchase another voucher-based Merchant Offering.
To Trade In your voucher:
- Go to your My Groupons page on our website or mobile app. Don't have the mobile app? Download it here.
- Select View Details.
- To trade in, select the Trade In Voucher link.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
What this means is that after you've pressed this button, you can no longer access the Redemption Code, which is needed to Redeem your voucher. If you've done this, you'll need to contact Groupon Support to find your voucher number.
What to Do With Your Expired Groupon Deals
- Ask the Merchant to Do You a Solid.
- Escalate to Management if Warranted.
- Ask Groupon to Intervene With the Merchant.
- Trade It in for Groupon Bucks.
- Ask Groupon for a Refund.
- Resell It Online.
- Check the Extraordinary Event Policy.
- Eat the Promotional Value.
Under the terms of Groupon's Trade-In Program, you can trade in certain Groupon vouchers for Groupon Bucks up to two weeks after they expire. When you trade in an expired voucher, your Groupon Bucks payment is equal to the amount you originally paid for the traded-in voucher – the voucher's face value.
We hope you love your new Groupon Goods purchase, but if for any reason you're not satisfied with your order, you might be able to exchange it. You can exchange your item for another option from the same deal if: The deal is still available. The Fine Print on the deal page says “Free Returns.”
Unsubscribe from the emails and newsletters of Groupon
Click on “Identify myself” on the top right corner of their website. Select “My account” and click on “My subscriptions” in the drop-down menu. Look at the bottom of the page and click on “Unsubscribe from all Groupon emails”If you're trying to cancel your Groupon order within the cancellation window, you should be able to receive a refund; if not, you probably won't be able to cancel the order. Make sure that you haven't viewed your voucher. If you purchased and then viewed your Groupon voucher, you can't cancel it.
There's no cost to claim a deal, and once a consumer makes a claim on a deal, the deal can be used on an unlimited basis during the offer period. By and large, deals can be as low as 5% or as high as 90% in limited instances, but Groupon notes on its web site that typical reward deals fall in the 15% to 30% range.

For Local Deals, customers can return any unredeemed Groupon for a refund of the amount paid within the first three days after purchase. After that, all sales are final unless stated otherwise in the Fine Print. After 30 days past delivery, items are non-refundable and all sales are final.
When you can get a refund
Your Groupon is always worth at least the amount you paid for it with the business—even if the promotional value has expired. Cancel your order before it's processed for shipment or return the product for a refund within 30 days of receiving it, unless otherwise stated in the Fine Print.If you do not update or cancel your order, we will automatically retry processing the transaction once every 18 hours for up to 72 hours.
Let them know that any customer who requests a refund should be referred to Groupon customer support page at groupon.com/customer_support. Our customer support reps will then apply the Groupon refund policy and work with the customer to resolve the situation.
