One of 10 respondents said playing Words With Friends "has directly led to a hookup." A full 40% of respondents said they'd date someone they met through the game. Some players have actually met and dated and gotten married after sparks flew all the way across state lines while playing Words With Friends.
There is ENTIRELY too much cheating in Words with Friends. There is really nothing you can do about it except refuse to play the cheater anymore. It is indeed hard to figure out if your friend is using an online cheat tools or dictionary when playing Words with Friends, since you cannot see them in person.
Here's how to remove them:
- iOS: Slide your finger across a finished game to the right to reveal a delete button.
- Android: Tap and hold a finished game to reveal a delete button.
There's no obvious option to delete a game of Draw Something that's already in progress, but it can be done. Simply swipe your finger across your opponent's avatar (or the default pencil) and the "delete" button will appear. Tap that button and your game will be deleted.
To delete games that have been started, go to the bottom of the page where it says more with an arrow click and click resign, then swipe the name box an delete appears, then click delete. Swipe to the right and then to the left without raising your finger.

To stop getting random matches, please follow the steps below:
- Update your application to the latest version.
- Once updated, open the app and go to Settings.
- Select Account.
- Turn off the 'Random Game' option.
Wondering what the green dot on a user profile means? It's simply an indicator that the player is online in Words with Friends. If you see a player online, nudge them to make a move or start a new game!
In Words with Friends (and Scrabble), OXYPHENBUTAZONE is generally the highest scoring single word. If you collaborate with a friend, you can set the board up to play this word for 1670 points (possibly more if you use different words elsewhere on the board).
End Game. The game ends when one player plays every tile in his rack, and there are no tiles remaining to draw from. The game could also end if three successive turns have occurred with no scoring and as long as the score is not zero-zero.
You may Block a player from starting future games with you or chatting to you. Tap their chum in the game screen and swipe up on the Stats screen to see the "Block" button. You can also block them by tapping their name in your leader board on the main screen. Swipe up on the stats screen to see the block button.
For Scrabble Free versions:
- Go into the game you are waiting on by viewing it in the main menu under the header THEIR TURN.
- At the bottom right corner of the game screen is a Nudge button. To send a Nudge, tap that button.
- Your opponent will automatically be sent a Nudge notification.

- Open your Android device's Settings.

- Return to your home page and open Words With Friends.
How do I nudge my opponent? If your opponent is taking a bit long, you can nudge them to send them a notification. Locate the game in Their Move under the Games List. Select << to send them a nudge. You may nudge players every 24 hours after they have been inactive for at least 24 hours.
