If you've lost access to the email tied to your account and you've forgotten your password, then unfortunately you'll have to create a new account :( If you still remember your old password, you can change your email by going into User Settings, then requesting a reset email!
1 Answer. According to the latest stable docs, you can use user. email to retrieve the Email from a user account.
If you need to reset your password, you can find a "forgot password" link in one of two places:
- Discord's Website. Just make sure that you're already logged out of your Discord account, then go to
- Inside the App.
Steps
- Click Login. It's at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Type your email address into the “Email” box.
- Click Forgot Your Password?.
- Open the email message from Discord.
- Click Reset Password in the email message.
- Type a new password into the blank.
- Click Change Passsword.

If you have forgotten your Discord password, don't worry! To reset Discord password first make sure you are logged out of your Discord account and then go to the Discord login screen. However, you can still get friend requests and any friend requests that you receive while your account is disabled will be waiting for you when you re-enable your account. When you choose to delete your account, the account will be permanently deleted (after a bit of time). It's irreversible!

You can have more than one Discord account (I have my main account and 5 alts that I use mainly for testing bugs). Unfortunately, Discord has not added the option to switch between multiple accounts in the client.
Why does dicord need my email? We use it for a single point of user verification, which doubles as your login credentials. Also for verification if you ever lose your password. We have two emails that go out when you sign up and if you haven't logged in for a while, but that's it.
Like other social networks, Discord can be iffy or safe. But, because it allows any user to create both public and private groups, the risks for kids can be tiny or huge, depending on how they use it.
You can change it in your user settings tab without even logging out. Just enter a new email + old password. You'll need to make a new account with the proper email, sorry about that!
From my understanding, unverified accounts (where the account is never linked to an email address properly) are deleted after a while. When this happens, the account should automatically leave all servers that it was a member of just like any other deleted account. 0. Comment actions Permalink.

Email Address is Already Registered. If you get an error message that says your email address "is already registered", it means the email address you've entered is already assigned to an existing LinkedIn account.
Once you've logged in, head over to your User Settings (The Cog icon) and while there, click on the “My Account” tab. From here, choose to edit your account. At the bottom of the window, you'll see the option to Delete Account. Click it to make your account disappear for good.
