What is a group order? Group Order enables a group of employees to place individual orders from pre-selected restaurants with deliveries at a time of your office's choosing. Multiple orders from the same restaurant will arrive together, Each order will arrive individually packaged and labeled for easy distribution.
Simply visit the menu of your favorite restaurant and click the “group†icon in the top right. Organizers can then set a subtotal limit per person and will receive a link that they can share out to cart participants.
Uber Eats' group order feature lets different users add items to a single order, and have it delivered to a single location. You do not need to have an Uber Eats account to add items to a Group Order, and can use a guest account to add items to the shared cart.
Follow these steps to create a group order:
- Log into your DoorDash account.
- Choose your restaurant.
- Tap the Group Order button on the restaurant page.
- Send the Group Order link to others.
- When everyone is done adding their items into the cart, you can close the Group Order and complete checkout.
Once you have chosen the restaurant to order from, you can create the Group Order. After selecting the per person limit and click the Start Group Order button, a sharable customized link will be generated. That link can be shared with anyone and allows participants to add their items to that order.

You can tip through the app before or after your order, or you can tip in cash upon delivery. GrubHub has a suggested 20% tip. In California, they recently switched that due to Proposition 22. GrubHub now says to “leave an optional tip on top of driver benefits.â€

As a rule of thumb, though, you should consider 15% your base tip for an average delivery. Of course, your final tip amount should be a reflection of your courier's quality of service. When your Dasher is extra friendly, communicative, and on time, it's common to increase their tip to 20% or higher.
