We've had a lot of our customers and WordPress users, in general, have an issue where their site is showing a blank page. This blank page is typically caused by a PHP error. ini file set to hide PHP errors, you'll get a blank page displayed.
To get started adding a new page to your WordPress site, find the Pages menu in the WordPress Dashboard Navigation menu. Click Add New. You'll now see the WordPress page editor. WordPress 5.0 introduced an entirely new editor with a new approach to adding content to your new page called the WordPress Block Editor.
Go to your WordPress Dashboard> Pages> Add New. Give a name to your page and click Edit with Elementor. Now, your page will open in the Elementor editor. Next, make your page as you like.
How to Save a Page as A Template in Elementor
- Click the up arrow located to the right of the Publish / Update Button located at the bottom of the panel.
- Choose Save as Template.
- Give a name to your template and save.
You can import templates you've exported or downloaded.
- Go to Templates > Saved Templates or Templates > Theme Builder or Templates > Popups.
- Click the Import Templates button.
- Choose the file you want to import and click the Import Now button.
- Your imported template will now be displayed in your Templates list.
A Template Kit is a collection of pre-designed templates for Elementor that share a cohesive visual style. It is not a WordPress theme. Template kits require the Elementor Page builder plugin and an Elementor-friendly theme such as Hello Elementor to be installed and activated before being imported.
To get started, go to the Header tab in the Theme Builder interface and click Add New Header. On the next screen, give it a name and then click Create Template. Then, you'll see a selection of pre-made designs in the Elementor library.

Where can I find my saved Templates? All the templates that you saved can be found under Templates in your WordPress Admin Dashboard. These templates are also available, along with the pre-designed templates, in the Library that is accessible from the Elementor panel.
Tap on the + sign at the bottom of the screen. Scroll through the available design types (e.g. Instagram Story, Logo, etc.). Tap See all next your chosen design type label. Select Blank, the first option that appears.
Blank Canvas is free WordPress theme. It's a minimalist theme, designed for single-page websites. Its single post and page layouts have no header, navigation menus, or widgets, so the page you design in the WordPress editor is the same page you'll see on the front end.
How To Make a Full Width Image On Elementor
- To begin with, set the image as the section background.
- Then, if you want a full screen hero section, set height to 100vh.
- Finally, if it doesn't cover the entire screen, check your template settings.
How To Set A Default Page Layout
- Click the Hamburger Menu in the Widget Panel.
- Click Site Settings.
- Click Layout.
- Choose the Default Page Layout that you wish to set as the default layout across the site.
From any Elementor page or post editor, click the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the Widget Panel, then navigate to Site Settings > Settings > Layout.
Elementor Canvas – This displays only the Elementor created content without the Header, Footer, Content, or Sidebar. Elementor Full Width – This displays the Elementor created content including the Header and Footer. Theme – This displays the predefined layout of the active theme.
A boxed layout means that the web page appears in a box in the browser, with space appearing around the box if your browser screen is sized larger than the box size. Boxed layouts give you a couple extra settings in Customize > General > Layout.
