- Select your desired device, and confirm the PIN matches on both devices.

To find out if your vehicle has Apple CarPlay or Android Auto you can either look through the user manual or do a Google search for the year, make and model of your vehicle. You can also plug your phone into your car's main USB port (unless it has a wireless dock) and look at the menu on your screen.
Since iOS 9, Apple has supported wireless CarPlay implementations. Nearly all CarPlay setups require an iPhone to be plugged in directly to the in-dash system to connect, but wireless CarPlay alleviates the need for a Lightning cable, allowing an iPhone to connect to an in-car system wirelessly.
Go to the Engineering Menu in your MMI, insert the SD card in slot 1, and choose the “Update” option. Then, select source – SD1 – choose the firmware, and select “Standard” on the next screen. The MMI update should take around 30-60 minutes.
Start your car. If your car supports wireless CarPlay, press and hold the voice-command button on your steering wheel. Make sure that your stereo is in wireless or Bluetooth mode. Then on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap Available cars, and select your car.
Keep the "Setup" button held down, then press and hold the button atop the large knob in the center of the MMI panel. Hold down both buttons, then press and hold the button immediately to the upper right of the large knob. Keep all three buttons held down until the MMI console resets.
How to Activate Your Audi connect WiFi hotspot:
- From the Audi MMI main menu, select "Telephone."
- Select "Settings."
- Select "Connections."
- Select "Wi-Fi connection."
- Select "Wi-Fi", then set the connection to "On."
