The noise can occur every time you use the printer or the noise can occur intermittently. The noise can be caused by any one of the following: A piece of paper is stuck on one of the rollers inside the printer. A roller in the toner cartridge may be squeaking.
How to Clean a Samsung Laser Printer
- Unplug your Samsung printer from the computer and from the electrical outlet.
- Take all of the paper out of the paper tray and wipe the tray clean of dust with a clean cloth.
- Open the printer door and clean the inside thoroughly.
- Douse a cotton swab in acetone and rub the feed rollers until they are clean.
Moisten a cotton ball with 99 percent pure isopropyl alcohol, and then use it to clean off any patches of toner that have adhered to the drum.
When it is not fusing correctly, toner can become smudged on the paper if non-fused toner sticks to the rollers. In the case of a bad drum or leaking toner, it is best to replace the entire toner cartridge. If you suspect a bad fuser is at fault, it is best to have the laser printer serviced at a repair shop.
The most obvious is most common on laser color printers and can be detected by a flashing message on the printer display screen. Other signs of a bad printer drum include printing blank pages, printing gray pages and strange sounds coming from the printer as it prints.
Cleaning a laser printer is easy with the correct equipment, however they are prone to dust and debris. As laser printers use toner cartridges, cleaning can be a messy job as they are filled with black powder.

Unlike inkjet printers, laser print heads don't get clogged with dried ink. However, dust and bits of debris can accumulate on a laser print-head lens, causing many of the same print-quality issues as a clogged print head on an inkjet printer, including blurred or faint text and images.
Faint, streaky or spotty prints are all common signs of a clog but a simple cleaning can usually get your HP ink cartridges working again. Printheads clog due to infrequent cartridge use. If you regularly go a few weeks without printing, your cartridges will eventually dry out and need to be replaced.
You can clean the printhead either manually or from your printer or computer. Before you start, you'll want to perform a nozzle check to ensure your printhead needs cleaning, as this will save ink.
The sponge end of a blocked printer head can be cleaned with only one liquid other than water. This liquid is isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol isn't strong enough to melt the sponge but is still strong enough to dissolve the ink inside the blocked printer head.
Click the name of your printer, and then click Open Print Queue. Click Printer Setup or Settings, click Utility, and then click Open Printer Utility. Click Clean Printheads. Once the cleaning cycle completes, click Print.
Pure acetone will work wonders cleaning out print heads. Otherwise, use fingernail polish remover, which is a diluted solution of acetone. Saturate a cotton swab and gently rub the print head, repeat until you've removed most all of the stray ink and the cotton swab remains clean.
One of the most thorough involves soaking the printheads in a solution of water and ammonia for several hours, and then flushing the heads clean by running them under warm tap water.
Before taking any other actions, it's recommended that you clean the printhead and ink cartridges four or five more times. Also, leave your printer unplugged overnight and double check the nozzle on your ink cartridges to make sure they aren't full. You want to give everything a chance to dry out before cleaning.
